The football throw-in is a relatively easy set-piece opportunity in football and is gradually attracting the attention of coaches in top flight football. In the classification of out-of-bounds kicks, they are divided into front-field kicks and back-field kicks depending on their location. The ball is closer to the opponent’s goal and is not affected by the offside rule, making it easy to create a threatening attack in space. In football, throwing the ball with high accuracy, speed and distance can enrich the team’s attacking tactics and pose a threat to the opposing team’s defence. This research was carried out using documentary analysis, experimental methods and mathematical statistics to study the "Gronnemark throwing technique".In this study,12 players were randomly selected from Class 2 of Year 20 of the Football Academy of Xi’an Physical Education University to conduct a teaching experiment. The players in the experimental group practised according to the Gronnemark training programme, while the players in the control group practised the traditional exercises, and the maximum throwing distance was chosen as the main indicator of the throwing effect. The results were expressed as mean ± standard deviation and the data obtained were statistically analysed using SPSS 26.0 software and collated(two decimal places were retained)for statistical analysis of differences, with paired t’s being used for comparison of pre-group and post-group changes and between-group changes, where P<0.05.Research results: After 8 weeks of teaching intervention, the players in the experimental group had a significant difference in the maximum throwing distance on the spot and on approaching throws compared with the players in the control group. The throw-in-place distance has been increased from 15.53 meters to 17.48 meters, and the approach throw distance has been increased from 16.91 meters to 19.08 meters. The players in the experimental group showed that the performance of each throw was relatively stable compared with the other two throws in the two-way throw-in test.During this period, the throwing distance of the control group did not increase significantly, and there was no significant difference from the corresponding data in the pre-experiment.At the same time, the players in the control group had relatively unstable performance in the three throws on the spot, and the increase in throwing distance was small; In the throw test, the results of three throws were relatively stable, but the increase in throw distance was small. It is verified that the Gronnemark throw-in technique has a significant effect on the throwing effect.Research conclusion: In the throw-in action, the quality of the arm action directly affects the throwing distance, and the high degree of trunk back and the small angle of the elbow joint help to complete the arm swing quickly. In the arm swing stage, the back support foot of the body should be extended along with the center of gravity foot along with the arm swing.A football throw-in is a form of action in which multiple body joints are connected as a kinematic chain for whipping action.Simply relying on the strength of the upper limbs and trunk cannot achieve the best throwing effect.Only by fully engaging all joints in the throwing action, there is an orderly manner.A "bottom-up" swing is required for long-range throws. In a football throw-in,the force on both sides of the body is synchronized, the movements of the upper and lower limbs are coordinated, and multiple joints are synchronized at the same time to throw a long-distance throw-in.At the same time, players should deepen their understanding of the rules of the throw-in,so as to reduce errors and throwing violations.
