At present,more and more young people in China are forced to hand over their children to their parents for help and care because they are busy making a living.The time spent between grandchildren and grandparents increases,even far more than the time spent by parents with their children.Therefore,the importance of good intergenerational parent-child relationship can’t be ignored.As the elderly are restricted by their own knowledge level,life experience and other factors,there are a series of problems in their communication with their grandchildren,such as lack of communication initiative,low communication frequency and untimely information feedback.These problems not only affect the communication between the next generation,but also gradually alienate the parent-child relationship between the next generation.In terms of improving the intergenerational parent-child relationship,the grandparents of the intergenerational Parenting Family in the community have high needs.They hope that the community and professionals can help themselves eliminate communication barriers,enhance intergenerational emotional communication,and then improve the intergenerational parent-child relationship.This paper uses communication theory as a theoretical support to intervene in the adjustment of intergenerational parent-child relationship.Communication theory holds that communication plays an important role in the maintenance of interpersonal relationship.Good interpersonal relationship can be formed by establishing correct communication methods and removing communication obstacles.In terms of information transmission and receiver,grandparents usually do not realize the important role of communication in the parent-child relationship of the next generation;In terms of information and communication channels,the information mastered and learned by grandparents and grandchildren is asymmetric and lacks effective communication skills;In terms of information feedback,one party sent out information,but the other party did not respond in time;In terms of communication environment,there is almost no other environment that can promote the emotional communication between generations except the family.Group social work is a working method to achieve the goals of education,treatment and development through a series of purposeful group interactions under the leadership and coordination of group social workers.For the adjustment of intergenerational parent-child relationship,social workers take communication theory as the guidance,and carry out communication groups to help service objects eliminate communication obstacles,solve communication problems,and provide them with a high-quality platform for intergenerational parent-child communication and interaction.Therefore,the effective intervention method to adjust the intergenerational parent-child relationship is the group work based on the communication group model.Through household visits and questionnaires to grandparents and grandchildren in the intergenerational Parenting Family in community B of City C,this paper preliminarily understands the problems and root causes of the intergenerational parent-child relationship in the community.Through the investigation,it is found that the parent-child relationship of the next generation has the problems of lack of communication initiative,low communication frequency,lack of understanding of each other’s real feelings,insufficient information understanding,failure to listen to others’ ideas,improper problem handling methods,untimely information feedback and lack of necessary communication environment.In this regard,this study adopts the group social work method,designs the content of communication group activities under the guidance of communication theory,helps the next generation improve communication awareness and information feedback ability,breaks information asymmetry,builds an interactive platform,realizes two-way communication,and then improves the parent-child relationship of the next generation.Finally,the full text is summarized through the results of questionnaires,satisfaction evaluation and interviews,draws conclusions and reflects.This paper draws the following conclusions:the intervention of communication group helps team members improve their communication awareness,enhance their communication enthusiasm and initiative,and improve the intergenerational parent-child relationship from the perspective of communication awareness;Assist the team members to break the information asymmetry,complete the effective information transmission,and improve the intergenerational parent-child relationship from the perspective of information symmetry;Help the team members master the necessary communication skills such as listening and nonverbal skills,improve their communication skills,and improve the parent-child relationship from the perspective of information channels;Assist the team members to establish two-way communication,enhance the awareness of information feedback,and improve the parent-child relationship of the next generation from the perspective of two-way communication;It created a good communication environment for the team members,fully demonstrated the skills learned,and consolidated the results of group activities.It improves the parent-child relationship from the perspective of communication environment.Finally,this study is reflected:we should fully consider the special needs of group members;Appropriately improve the external environment of group activities;Improve the personal professional ability of social workers and enrich their practical experience.
