Analysis On Technical And Tactical Characteristics Of Karatsev Singles Match In 2021 Australian Open

In 2021,there were two Russian players in the men’s singles top four of the Australian Open（Australian Open for short）.One of them was karatsev.He had never participated in any ATP tour,but he broke all the way from the qualification to the semi-finals in his first game in the Australian Open,setting a new record since the era of the Grand Slam open.As one hundred foreign players,it has been difficult for Chinese men’s players to make a breakthrough over the years.Karatsev,on the other hand,jumped to 46 th place after this battle,and will enter the main race directly without participating in the qualification of any event.Through the methods of literature,video observation,logical analysis,mathematical statistics and comparative analysis,this paper studies the five main matches of karatsev’s Australian Open series,mainly analyzes them from four levels: serving stage,receiving stage,Stalemate Stage and pre net stage,and explores the techniques and tactics used in each stage,I hope it can provide some reference for the breakthrough of Chinese players.Through research and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:（1）In terms of service: karatsev’s fastest service speed is basically more than 200 km / h.he is good at serving big inside corner and big outside corner,with an average speed of more than 190 km / h,and the outside corner of zone 1 has strong lateral rotation.The inside corner of zone 1 and the inside and outside corner of zone 2 are good at serving strong flat shot,and the speed is often about 200 km / h.For the second serve,whether in zone 1 or zone 2,karatsev prefers to serve the opponent’s backhand position and rarely serves the forehand position,because the backhand position can effectively prevent the opponent from grabbing the second serve or directly playing a more threatening return ball,and the average speed of the second serve is about 170 km / H.（2）In terms of service receiving: when encountering a player with fast service speed,karatsev uses more forehand and backhand fast push and block strokes,followed by forehand and backhand strokes.For the second serve,karatsev will not hesitate to use the rush attack and draw to oppress his opponent.On the landing point of the return ball from the first serve,karatsev pressed the ball more near the opponent’s middle bottom line to avoid shallowing,and took the initiative to attack the opponent’s forehand and backhand outer corners more after the second serve.Throughout the series,karatsev’s habitual position is a position parallel to the bottom line in zone 1,and an oblique crossing position facing the opponent and the bottom line in zone 2,which can be adjusted with the change of the opponent’s service.（3）In terms of stalemate: karatsev is good at scoring in a short round,dominating the attack with a powerful violent forehand,and has a strong ability to win points with the forehand and a strong stalemate ability with the backhand.In terms of tactics,karatsev uses the forehand to actively change the line to mobilize his opponents,namely "V" tactics,straight line to oblique line tactics,oblique line to straight line tactics and continuous return ball tactics.At the same time,the backhand also has strong ability to change the line.（4）In front of the net: karatsev didn’t surf the net many times in the whole series.Unless there was a good chance,no one would easily surf the net.The success rate of surfing the net was basically more than 50%.He was good at forehand volley and front of the net draw.
