Research On Offensive And Defensive Characteristics Of Chinese Forward Line Players In The Canadian Division Of The 2021 Olympic Basketball Qualifiers

Research purposes: Striker players refer to the players in the three positions of small forward,power forward and center.They are the main scorers in the team and the key link in the development of the team’s tactical system.The Chinese team in the2021 Olympic basketball qualifying competition ended in the Canadian division.The Chinese team lost to the Canadian team and the Greek team,announcing that they missed the Olympic Games for the first time in 37 years.In basketball,technology is the basis for the execution of all tactics,and tactics are the combined form of technology.With the continuous innovation of basketball,the technical movements and tactics of basketball are more diverse today,and the two are inseparable and complementary.Therefore,today’s competitions have stricter overall technical requirements for athletes.Therefore,the "forward" players in the team are required to pay attention to improving their offensive ability while also paying attention to their defensive ability.The striker needs to have the ability to read the game,which has higher requirements for the striker’s technical and tactical literacy.Based on this,this paper intends to study the offensive and defensive characteristics of the strikers of the Chinese team in the Canadian Division of the 2021 Olympic basketball unqualified competition,so as to provide a realistic basis for the future training and competition of strikers.Research methods: Firstly,the literature data method is used to sort out and analyze the domestic and foreign research status of basketball strikers and their offensive and defensive characteristics and body morphological characteristics.Secondly,the video observation method was used to extract the offensive and defensive characteristic information of the Chinese team’s striker players in the game video,and to collect the relevant changes in the physical shape of the relevant players.Finally,use Excel2019 and SPSS26.0 to conduct statistical analysis on the relevant data,and the statistical results are presented in the form of mean ± standard deviation;use Shapiro-Wilk Test to test the normality of the data;Statistical analysis was performed on the body shape of the team’s strikers and the percentage of two-pointers and three-pointers.In the comparison results,P<0.05 was considered a significant difference,and P<0.01 was considered a very significant difference.Research results: In the comparison of the body shape of the strikers of the Chinese team and the Canadian team,the statistical results show that:（1）the height of the strikers of the Chinese team is significantly higher than that of the Canadian team（P < 0.05）;（2）the height of the strikers of the Canadian team The weight was significantly higher than that of the Chinese team（P < 0.05）;（3）the age of the Chinese team’s strikers was significantly lower than that of the Canadian team（P < 0.05）;（4）the three-point shooting rate and two-point shooting rate of the Chinese team’s front line players,shooting percentage,assists,offensive rebounds,sudden distribution,passing and cutting cooperation,screening cooperation and blocking ability were all worse than those of the Canadian team（P<0.05）.（5）There was no significant difference between the Chinese team and the Canadian team in fast break and defensive rebound（P>0.05）.In the comparison of the body shape of the strikers of the Chinese team and the Greek team,the results show that:（1）the height of the strikers of the Chinese team is significantly higher than that of the Greek team（P<0.05）;（2）the weight of the strikers of the Chinese team is significantly higher than that of the Greek team（P < 0.05）;（3）The age of the strikers of the Chinese team was significantly lower than that of the Greek team（P < 0.05）.（4）The three-point shooting percentage,two-point shooting percentage,field goal percentage,assists,offensive rebounds,rushing points,passing and cutting coordination,screening coordination and blocking ability of the Chinese team’s strikers were all worse than those of the Greek team（P<0.05）.（5）There was no significant difference between the Chinese team and the Greek team in fast break and defensive rebound（P>0.05）.Research conclusions:（1）Although Chinese strikers have a certain height advantage,their weight is not dominant,resulting in poor confrontation ability and more mistakes.In addition,the Chinese team’s strikers tend to be younger and less experienced on the field.（2）The offensive ability of the front line players of the Chinese team is relatively low,which is reflected in the shooting percentage of two-pointers and free throws.Insufficient long-range shooting skills and stability,and low three-point shooting rate.（3）The Chinese team’s fast-break ability is outstanding,but the offensive rebounding,assists,sudden distribution,passing,and screening are poor.（4）The defensive rebounding performance of the Chinese strikers is no different from that of their opponents,but the success rate of blocking shots is small.
