The morality of citizens is the important foundation of the construction of spiritual civilization.The moral progress is not only on the basis of citizens’ moral consciousness,but also on the basis of the interventions to the immoral phenomenon.In recent years,more and more researchers are interested in moral disengagement,which is an individuals’negative cognitive tendency.By means of moral disengagement,people reinterpret their immoral actions,weaken the sense of guilt by immoral behavior,and then evade self-sanction.People engage in moral disengagement and carry out immoral behavior,which has a negative impact on the society.Moral disengagement is contrary to the moral consciousness concept of public order and good custom advocated by Chinese traditional virtues.Moral consciousness reflects the degree to which individuals voluntarily abide by moral norms.Moral consciousness is also an important constraint on the occurrence of moral disengagement.People are more likely to engage in moral disengagement when their moral consciousness is not sufficient to abide by the moral norms.Therefore,it is very valuable to study moral disengagement from the perspective of moral consciousness and propose educational intervention strategies to effectively prevent moral disengagement.Moral consciousness education is an important part of ideological and moral education.Based on the Marxist theory of human nature,the perspectives of morality in traditional Chinese culture,the theory of internalization and externalization of ideological and political education,and the Rational Emotive Behavior therapy,the perspectives of moral consciousness education is proposed to take educational intervention for moral disengagement educational intervention.There are generally eight types of moral disengagement,and they are euphemism label,moral defense,responsibility transfer,dehumanization,blame attribution,favorable comparison,distortion results,and the moral deduction.Moral consciousness education has three dimensions,they are moral rationality,moral emotion and moral self-discipline.Moral consciousness is important to prevent moral disengagement,and the moral rationality education has indirect effect to prevent moral disengagement.The moral emotional education and moral self-discipline education have relatively simple and direct effect to prevent moral disengagement.The relation between moral consciousness and moral disengagement was explored by the questionnaire methods.The objects are 503 university students.It is found that the overall moral consciousness of university students is better,and the moral consciousness about the moral rationality is the worst among the three moral consciousness dimensions.Moral disengagement has significant gender differences,men have a higher degree of moral disengagement than women.The relationship between moral consciousness and moral disengagement are different in three dimensions.There is a complex relationship between moral consciousness and moral disengagement in moral rationality.The higher the level of moral consciousness in moral emotion and moral self-discipline,the lower the degree of moral disengagement,especially in the three types of moral disengagement of euphemism labels,favorable comparisons and distorted results.Finally,on the base of qualitative and quantitative research,there are four moral consciousness education strategies being proposed for the educational intervention of moral disengagement.They include:sticking to the principle of people-oriented moral education,enriching the content of moral rationality cultivation,optimizing the cultivation mechanism of moral emotions,and innovating the path of moral self-discipline cultivation.In conclusion,it is a new perspective to explore the intervention of moral disengagement from the perspective of moral consciousness,which is based on the inherent mechanism of the occurrence of immoral behavior to study a new perspective of moral education reform.By analyzing specific problems,we can deepen the reform of moral consciousness education,effectively enhance the effect of educational intervention of moral disengagement,and lay a solid theoretical foundation for the sustained and good development of morality.
