Abstract/Summary:
On 21 September 2020,the State General Administration of Sports and the Ministry of Education jointly issued the Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Sports and Education for the Healthy Development of Youth, with the two main objectives of promoting the healthy development of youth and strengthening the training of reserve talents for competitive sports. The development of "integration of sports and education" is a top-level design for education and sports in China, based on the principle of "integrated design and integrated promotion",which will provide direction for the future development of school sports in China. At this stage, the current state of development of competitive wushu routines in Xinjiang is in a weak position, with successive losses in a series of competitions such as the National Games, the Youth Games and the Academic Games. In order to improve this situation, this study analyses the current situation and constraints of training reserve talents in Xinjiang competitive wushu routines from the perspective of "integration of sports and education",and makes suggestions for the training of reserve talents in Xinjiang competitive wushu routines, hoping to provide reference for the training of reserve talents in Xinjiang competitive wushu routines in the context of "integration of sports and education".This study uses literature, questionnaires, interviews, fieldwork, mathematical and statistical methods, and logical analysis to investigate the training of young Xinjiang students in competitive martial arts under the background of "integration of sports and education".Firstly, this study explains the background, connotation and concept of "integration of sports and education" to promote competitive sports reserve talents;secondly,it investigates the management, recruitment, cultivation, guarantee and delivery mechanism of competitive martial arts reserve talents for young students in Xinjiang under the background of "integration of sports and education".Finally,on the basis of the above analysis, corresponding countermeasures are proposed for the cultivation of competitive wushu reserve talents in Xinjiang. The research conclusions are as follows:(1)In terms of management mechanisms,Xinjiang has been slow to establish schools with martial arts characteristics in the context of the "integration of sports and education",with unclear delineation of responsibilities among members of the management departments and a lack of sustainable development plans for competitive martial arts;the lack of effective supporting policies in all parts of Xinjiang and the lack of practical support for relevant policies;the phenomenon of major subjects and secondary subjects still exists, and the concept of physical education in schools is off;and the cultivation of high-level competitive martial arts reserve talents in all parts of Xinjiang and the states is limited.(2)In terms of the recruitment mechanism, there is a serious loss of reserve talent in Xinjiang under the background of "integration of sports and education",with the number of participants declining as the age increases;schools have a single recruitment channel, shortage of students, unscientific selection methods, lack of motivation to participate in training, and bias and other problems.(3)In terms of training mechanisms, the "contradiction between study and training" of Xinjiang’s competitive martial arts reserve talents in the context of "integration of sports and education" is prominent. The time allocated for training and study is unreasonable, and training time is not guaranteed;in addition, the professional skill level of coaches is low, training methods are not scientific enough, and wushu events are not perfect.(4)With regard to the guarantee mechanism, the construction of the echelon of competitive wushu teachers in Xinjiang in the context of the "integration of sports and education" has lagged behind. The titles of wushu teachers are low, more than half of the coaches have not participated in training at provincial level or above, and lack scientific theoretical knowledge;the venues do not meet the training needs, the equipment replenishment mechanism is unclear, and there is a single source of funding.(5)In terms of the delivery mechanism, the delivery mechanism for reserve talents in Xinjiang’s competitive wushu routines under the background of "integration of sports and education" is not perfect. The goal of talent transfer is not clear, and the cultural results are the main indicator of talent transfer, while wushu skills account for less, resulting in a low success rate of wushu reserve talents.
