| The analysis of the "Golden Marriage Website" diary text shows that the elderly’s desire for affection is real and urgent,and the elderly women are more eager for romance and companionship.But under sociocultural pressures,this affective need becomes unspeakable,either nonexistent or unseemly.With the rapid increase of the elderly population in China and the prolongation of the life span of elderly women,the affective dilemma of widowed women is more prominent than that of men,which should be paid attention and attention by the society.Using discourse analysis method,this study takes the affective reports of elderly women in China Women’s News from 1984 to 2019 as the research sample,analyzes the development,changes and deficiencies of constructing affective issues of elderly women in China Women’s News,and tries to explore the factors that affect constructing images of elderly women.The study found that the reports of older women’s feelings in China Women’s News were mismatched with their actual media expression.Since its founding,the reports of China Women’s News on elderly women have changed from the progressive discourse of "anti-feudalism" to the risky discourse of "aging".Under the narrative frame of "anti-feudalism",the elderly women are the victims of feudalism,their emotional life is to be liberated,and their changes in love and marriage are the epitome of the progress of The Times.Under the narrative framework of "aging",elderly women become the risk and burden of social development,their emotional life is always related to the pension problem,and their marriage and love changes become unstable factors.The media can not objectively present the image of elderly women,they are either the victims of feudal society,or aging society burden;They also cannot correctly express the self-demands of elderly women,and their subjectivity in the report is lacking.China Women’s News presents the affection of the elderly women according to the political and economic goals,and plays the role of "promoting and controlling" according to the social needs in the transition period,thus falling into the imbalance between instrumental rationality and value rationality.For the media,the promotion of social visibility in older women emotional need,is not only increase the reports of this group of people,want to think more "aging" of the general framework:it helps to construct the fragile and useless old image,and pension problem,marriage problem can be converted to the older women to care for others again.Without understanding the social construction of "aging",especially the nature of its construction around men,the emotional reports of elderly women will eventually be unable to get rid of the narrative of otherness. |
