| The origin of map is early and widely used.It is not only an important factor of geography,but also an important carrier of geographic information transmission.The rapid development of information technology and the continuous progress of society have given birth to the product of electronic map.Electronic map has become an indispensable tool in modern life.The core function of electronic map such as "Baidu Map" and "Amap" is the navigation function.This is also an important reason why electronic maps are widely used in daily travel.The use of maps requires users to read,recognize and use maps.Therefore,the ability of geographical map reading should become one of the basic skills for human beings to gain a foothold in society.One of the important activities in geography learning is to read geography images.Students’ geography map reading ability is the key ability in geography learning,which directly affects the effect of geography learning.Through questionnaires and interviews,the author learned that as far as students are concerned,senior high school students generally have some problems that need to be solved in geography map reading learning.their interest in map learning is not high,their ability to observe maps,extract map elements and apply map knowledge to solve practical problems is weak.As far as teachers are concerned,how to improve students’ interest in learning,cultivate students’ habit of reading pictures,methods of reading pictures,map operation and application ability have become the difficulties of map teaching.The geography reading ability of senior high school students needs to be improved,and high school geography teachers urgently need to find teaching media and teaching methods that are more suitable for students to overcome the obstacles in map teaching and learning.VR technology is a kind of high and new technology that simulates the virtual scene which is very similar to the real environment,and makes the experiencer feel immersed.It has the characteristics of immersion,interaction,imagination and so on.The application of VR technology in teaching can make the learning content become vivid,thus stimulate students’ interest in learning,broaden students’ imagination space,and improve students’ learning effect.By consulting the literature,the author finds that the existing research has verified the feasibility of the application of VR technology in geography teaching by means of questionnaire survey and experimental research.However,geography map reading is seldom studied as an important research object in the research,and it is rare to formulate a detailed geography map reading teaching model based on VR technology according to the characteristics of VR technology and geography teaching law.Therefore,under the common guidance of a variety of teaching theories and learning theories,this paper combs the important and difficult points of geography teaching in senior high school,analyzes the disadvantages of traditional geography teaching model,and constructs a high school geography map reading teaching model based on VR technology according to the characteristics and needs of senior high school students’ map learning.In this teaching model,students,as the main body of learning,carry out geography and map learning through inquiry activities under the VR environment.After a period of teaching practice,the students’ ability and achievement of geography map reading have been improved to a certain extent,and the teaching difficulties of geography teachers have also been solved,which fully demonstrates that VR technology plays a positive role in geography map reading teaching in senior high school.The application of VR technology in geography map reading teaching plays a positive role.It helps to increase students’ interest in geography learning,improve students’ geography map reading ability,improve teachers’ ability to apply information technology,promote the deep integration of modern educational technology and subject teaching,and promote the deep reform of teachers’ teaching methods and students’ learning methods.However,at present,there are still many problems in the large-scale application of VR technology in geography teaching,such as the lack of school hardware conditions,the lack of VR teaching resources,the difficulties in the development of VR resources,the lack of universal VR platform,and so on.Only by really solving the above problems,can we realize the large-scale application of VR technology in geography teaching and even the whole educational field. |
