The Impact Of Economic Differences Between Inbound And Outbound Areas On Floating Population Consumption

Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,the Party and the government have been stressing that expanding domestic demand is one of the important tasks of China’s current economic construction,so as to effectively adjust and optimize the industrial structure of economic development.As a result,household consumption has become a focus of political and academic research.At the same time,we should also point out that by the end of 2019,China’s floating population had reached 236 million.Because the overall quality of employment is not high,the consumption potential of this huge group has not been fully unleashed.Therefore,this paper attempts to study the relationship between the economic differences between inflow zone and outflow zone and the consumption of the floating population from the theoretical and empirical perspectives,in order to effectively solve the current situation of China’s economic dependence on foreign and domestic investment,constructive suggestions and opinions are put forward to improve the policy of the Chinese government,accelerate the process of China’s rise,and solve the serious problems to be solved.Mechanism on the basis of theoretical research,the model presents the empirical analysis,the research train of thought,first introduced the consumption of the floating population and the regional economic difference of the research background and significance,has been clear about the thinking of writing as well as the specific research method,this article through to the domestic and foreign relevant academic literature discussion,find a foothold and starting point of this study.Secondly,it elaborates the main theories of floating population,floating population consumption and regional economy,and according to the consumption economic theory,migration economic theory and regional economic theory,starting from the research needs and research needs of the related topics in this paper,the definition of consumption,population migration and regional balanced development is given with exact and practical conceptual significance..Then,using the survey data,a detailed descriptive analysis of the consumption level and consumption capacity of Chinese floating population in 2018 is conducted,and the results show that there is significant consumption heterogeneity within the floating population.The consumption level and consumption propensity of female,unmarried,non-agricultural registered population and high human capital floating population are generally higher than that of male,married,agricultural registered population and low human capital floating population.Finally,this paper uses OLS regression,quantile regression,through the detection of the mediating effect of variables,this paper empirically analyzes and tests the economic differences between the consumption of floating population in the same destination and the same destination.The results show that: first of all,the economic difference between the working site and the place of residence of the floating population has a significant impact on their consumption,which is manifested as a inhibiting effect.Secondly,With the rising consumption willingness and consumption level of the migrant labor force,the receding effect brought about by the unbalanced economic development in various regions will also weaken from beginning to end.With the increase of willingness to consume,the inhibiting effect of economic differences is enhanced.Third,in the process of destination and destination’s influence on the consumption of floating population,it is partly realized through the accompanying migration and identity identification of the children of floating population.Through detailed empirical analysis and comprehensive theoretical analysis,this paper attempts to put forward some pertinent suggestions for the Chinese government’s macro policy: Promote the equalization of the floating population with urban and rural hukou,strengthen the supervision of the job market and the enterprises that hire workers;We will improve state resources and facilities for compulsory and higher education,and increase vocational skills training and adult education;Improve the level of social security,expand the coverage of medical insurance;We will increase the consumption of the floating population and promote consumption upgrading.
