In 2004,the Ministry of Education issued the guiding outline of Mental Health Education for students in secondary vocational schools,which not only emphasized the need for mental health education in secondary vocational schools to promote students’ all-round development,it also requires secondary vocational schools to gradually establish a "responsible principal,moral education teachers as the main body,head teachers and full-time part-time teachers of mental health education as the backbone,all teachers to participate in the mental health education system.".It can be seen that the mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers has a direct impact on the normal and effective development of school mental health education,and is directly related to the physical and mental health of secondary vocational school students.It has been found that mental and behavioral problems occur frequently among secondary vocational school students,and most teachers have limited ability to carry out mental health education.The high incidence of psychological and behavioral problems of secondary vocational school students and the "scissors gap" problem of insufficient educational guidance ability of Secondary Vocational School teachers are highlighted.The existing research on teachers’ mental health education ability mainly focuses on the structure,measurement tools,ability level and development characteristics,and the research objects mainly focus on primary and secondary school teachers,there are few researches on secondary vocational school teachers and lack of evaluation tools for their mental health education ability.In order to probe into the current situation of the development of the mental health education ability of the teachers in secondary vocational schools,the methods of questionnaire investigation and in-depth interview were used to carry out investigation and research,to master the general situation of the mental health education consciousness,the mental health education knowledge and the mental health education ability of the teachers in secondary vocational schools in an all-round way,to explore the main problems,and to analyze the causes of the problems and deficiencies,to explore the ways and strategies to improve the mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers.The main results of the series are as follows:1.In accordance with the standardized procedure of psychological measurement,the questionnaire of mental health education ability test for secondary vocational school teachers was developed on the basis of related research and tools.The mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers includes three dimensions: Cognitive Ability,knowledge base and operation ability.Factor analysis and reliability and validity test were carried out on the questionnaire.The total clone Bach Alpha Coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.966,the clone Bach Alpha coefficients of three dimensions were 0.952,0.942 and0.957,respectively.The fitting indices of confirmatory factor analysis were x2/df= 4.439,RMSEA = 0.066,NFI= 0.934,IFI = 0.948,CFI = 0.948.Therefore,this questionnaire has good structure and ideal reliability and validity.2.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 786 secondary vocational school teachers.The results showed that the total average value of the mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers was 3.13 points,the cognitive ability,knowledge base and operation ability were 3.26,3.07 and 3.06 respectively The mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers has significant differences in gender,teaching years,teaching subjects,whether as a teacher in charge of a class,title and other variables.The interviewees found that the overall level of mental health education ability of teachers in secondary vocational schools was not high,the concrete manifestation is the mental health education consciousness is not strong,the mental health education knowledge is deficient,the mental health education cognition is not complete,the mental health education operation ability is not strong,and so on.3.This paper analyzes the main reasons why the mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers is not high,and puts forward some strategies for improving the mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers The second is to strengthen the training of all the teachers of Mental Health Education in Secondary Vocational Schools;the third is to improve the working mechanism of classroom teaching and class management to permeate mental health education;Fifth,improve the overall quality of secondary vocational school teachers and mental health level.Therefore,this research on the mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers can provide a basis for the effective implementation of mental health education.At the same time,the scale developed in this study can evaluate the mental health education ability of secondary vocational school teachers relatively scientifically and effectively,and promote the perfection of the mental health education system in secondary vocational schools,effective implementation of mental health education in secondary vocational schools to promote the growth of students.
