| Case teaching in secondary vocational tourism major can provide guidance for students to enter similar situations in the industry by providing real problem situations,which is conducive to the cultivation of secondary vocational tourism qualified personnel needed by the market.Discovering the participation of secondary vocational tourism students in the context of case teaching can effectively monitor the educational process and improve the teaching effect.This paper takes the second grade tourism students of a secondary vocational school in Guangzhou as the research object,uses qualitative research methods to study the influencing factors of students’ participation in the context of case teaching,collects data through interview,observation and physical analysis,sorts out the original data,encodes and analyzes the data with grounded theory,and constructs the influencing factor model of students’ participation,then puts forward some suggestions to optimize case teaching.Based on the method of non-probability sampling,through the steps of planning,implementation and reflection,the research implements three times case teaching on the relevant contents of the curriculum of “Policies,Laws and Regulations” of secondary vocational tourism major.Collecting,collating and analyzing the data to discover the influencing factors of students’ participation in case teaching of tourism course in secondary vocational schools through the conceptualization,categorization and dimensionalization of the data,which results in 31 concepts,7 categories and 3dimensions are obtained.The results show that the main factors affecting students’ participation in case teaching are students’ factors,teachers’ factors and environmental factors,which have student factors including four categories: learning motivation,student foundation,learning attitude and classmate support,teacher factors include two categories: case task and teaching style,and environmental factors refer to one category: learning environment.On this basis,the study further analyzes the impact of the main factor constructs on students’ participation,and puts forward some suggestions to further improve the participation of secondary vocational tourism students in the context of case teaching,such as paying attention to the basis of secondary vocational students,selecting cases in line with secondary vocational students’ cognition,making effective use of students’ support,carrying out case teaching in combination with students’ learning motivation,etc.The study enriches the research content of student’s participation in theory,increases the individual example of case teaching for students’ participation,and provides guidance for better case teaching in practice. |
