Middle school stage is not only an important period for teenagers to grow up,as well as the critical period for the formation of their self-cognition.Students at this stage are in the embryonic stage of adolescence,and the contradiction between the continuous enhancement of self-consciousness and the dependency psychology is more and more serious,which leads to their emotions and psychology are extremely vulnerable to external interference and impact.They are eager to be recognized by others and want to show themselves in front of others.However,due to the limitations of their own understanding,they tend to be too arrogant or too self-abased,which may impact their healthy growth.How to improve the self-cognition of junior high school students,help them to improve their self-identity,improve their self-confidence,help them to better adapt to the collective life,and grow up healthily and happily has attracted more attention and attention.In the preliminary investigation of students in K school in Shanghai,this study showed that the self-cognition level of middle school students was not high,and the influencing factors were summarized as academic pressure,peer relationship,emotional state and family relationship.With this as the starting point of this study,we set up an intervention group,combined with informal interview and participatory observation to carry out the implementation and evaluation of the self-cognition intervention group of "Youth Prelude" middle school students.The results show that drama therapy elements into the group work mode has a significant effect on the self-cognition of middle school students.The three dimensions of academic self-cognition,social self-cognition and emotional selfcognition showed significant difference before and after the intervention,while the significant difference of family self-cognition was not obvious before and after the intervention.This study found that through the interaction in the process of drama rehearsal,we can help the team members improve their self-awareness and self-ability.Dramatic projection in drama therapy helped group members to better understand social roles,so that they could learn to view problems objectively and think from the perspective of others.By connecting drama situation with real life,the group members can realize the difference between ideal and reality,learn to face up to their own problems,and make efforts to change and improve themselves.Finally,this paper further discusses the integration of drama therapy elements and group work,and prospects the possible intervention approaches of drama therapy in youth social work and school social work.
