| Recently, with the development and improvement of China’s labor market, occupational mobility has become a common social phenomenon. Many workers choose to change their jobs in order to meet their own development needs. The increasing frequency of occupational mobility has a profound impact of the labor market;therefore,it has also aroused widespread concern in academic circles. Many scholars have studied the influencing factors and social consequences of occupational mobility from different perspectives. This paper aims to explore the impact of occupational mobility on job satisfaction, and try to answer the following questions:Does job mobility have a significant impact on job satisfaction? Is there heterogeneity in job satisfaction among different groups of workers?Firstly, this paper summarizes the research results of relevant literature at home and abroad. Then, this paper explains the basic concepts of occupational mobility and job satisfaction. Finally, this paper analyzes the impact of occupational mobility on job satisfaction combined with relevant theories. This paper uses the data of China Labor dynamic survey(CLDS)in 2016 as the research data, and then establishes an ordered Logit model to study the impact of occupational mobility on job satisfaction. Finally, this paper uses the propensity score matching method(PSM)to test the robustness of the impact of occupational mobility on job satisfaction;then,in order to test the mediating role of wage and working hours between job mobility and job satisfaction, this paper uses OLS regression method to analyze the data through mediating effect model. In addition,in order to study the impact of occupational mobility on job satisfaction and the intermediary effect of group differences, this paper divides the sample data into migrant workers and urban laborers according to household registration. Finally,by analyzing and combing the research conclusions of this article, this article puts forward corresponding policy recommendations for government departments. This article summarizes the research results as follows: First, the occupational mobility of workers has a significant positive impact on their job satisfaction;Second,in the intermediary effect,an increase in the wages of workers will significantly increase their job satisfaction, and there is a significant negative correlation between working hours and job satisfaction.Third, there are differences in the degree of impact of occupational mobility on job satisfaction and the intermediary effect of household registration. The policy suggestions are as follows: In order to improve the job satisfaction of workers, government departments should formulate relevant policies from the perspectives of promoting occupational mobility, increasing wages and improving working conditions.First, the government should formulate relevant policies to improve the employment information system in my country’s labor market to ensure that workers can obtain relevant employment information in real time and effectively.Second, the government should formulate relevant policies to increase the basic wage income level of workers in the labor market in my country, thereby reducing the wage gap between different positions.Third, the government should formulate relevant policies to control the working hours of workers within a reasonable range. This needs to be combined with local actual conditions and refer to the wishes of the workers themselves. At the same time,it should also comprehensively consider the impact of work intensity on workers at the macro level. The impact of one’s own health and work efficiency.Fourth, the government should gradually abolish the household registration restrictions on the labor population,so as to establish an equal income growth mechanism,so that the accumulated experience of migrant workers can be effectively rewarded.Government departments should formulate policies to narrow the income gap between urban and rural labor, and achieve an overall increase in the income and job satisfaction of the entire labor force. |
