| After the founding of new China,Chinese leaders realized the importance of talents to national development.Therefore,the development of higher education accelerated.The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China found that the strategy of rejuvenating the country through education and talents was to some extent restricted by the poverty situation of many poor families.The impact of poverty on education became increasingly apparent.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.absolute poverty has been gradually solved.At the same time,the state has vigorously promoted intellectual development and improved the quality of education.Since 2000,the national student loan policy has benefited colleges and universities across the country.Through financial resources,it has allocated the use time of education investment to help students from poor families continue and complete their studies.For more than 20 years.the state has made comprehensive decisions and policies according to the macro-economy,employment situation,higher education development and other conditions.And constantly adjusted the detailed rules of the national student loan policy to meet the needs of poor students to study to the maximum extent.At the same time,it has stimulated the vitality of loans and improved the quality of loans.However,since the first batch of pilot students entered the repayment period,student loan defaults have emerged one after another,which has led to a significant decline in the willingness of banks to lend.Some banks even withdrew from the student loan policy team,resulting in a decline in the actual benefits of this policy and a high financial risk.As the lender,payee and the manager of the whole business process of the loan business,the bank,within the scope of national policies,in accordance with the development of macroeconomic situation and the guidance of the central bank,decides on the bank’s loan business behavior.And thev also carries out continuous management activities before,during and after the loan,so as to deal with the risks of loan default.Before analyzing the default factors of student loans,based on the literature research and the experience of bank credit business personnel,this paper designed a questionnaire to investigate the practical personnel of bank loan business about what characteristics of lenders will be paid more attention to in order to reduce the possibility of default.The main body of the questionnaire is divided into four parts:personal characteristics,professional characteristics,family characteristics and loan characteristics.Based on the survey and interview results of bank loan business personnel,the second questionnaire was distributed to students who graduated from colleges and universities in eastern and central China from 2017 to 2021 and have applied for national student loans.From the personal situation of students,employment situation and loan situation are set up to study the influence of various variables on the default behavior choice of loan students.A total of 893 samples were collected.After screening.584 research samples were determined,of which 453 students repaid smoothly,accounting for 77.57%of the total research samples,and 131 students defaulted on repayment,accounting for 22.43%of the total research samples.Through the empirical analysis of the factors affecting students’ repayment,this paper quantifies the basic information,family situation,employment situation,income status,loan situation and other indicators of loan students,comprehensively analyzing the impact of various factors on the repayment and repayment of student loans.Whether students of student loans perform on time or not is a binary choice problem,so it is suitable for Logistic model.This paper takes whether students repay the loan on time as the dependent variable.From the perspective of the student counselors’ intervention and prevention work,the independent variables are students’ personal situation,family economic situation,employment and income status,loans during school and repayment after graduation.The value range and assignment content are selected.The research samples are empirically analyzed through descriptive statistical analysis,factor analysis and binary logistic regression analysis.Finally,according to the analyze of the model,the income and average repayment amount have a great impact on the student loan default.Gender,major and employment have a certain impact on the student loan performance,but their influences are weaker than the first two factors,while the impact of education,academic performance and family difficulty level on the student loan default is not obvious.Based on this research conclusion,this paper puts forward improvement suggestions from multiple angles on the promotion of education and student aid work in colleges,the development of national student loan work,the smooth acceptance of bank student loan work and the improvement of individual performance of the loan students.Also,this paper tries to find methods before,during and after the student loan,so as to reduce the default risk aiming to assist in controlling the loan risk of commercial banks,improving the practical value of student assistance,making the government’s student assistance policy effective,and significantly improving the effect of student assistance.The research of this paper does not adopt one-time data analysis,but based on the conclusion of the previous data analysis,then conduct interview survey and follow-up problem data collection,and conduct interview again after reaching the conclusion.Combined with the management experience of bank loan business personnel,we seek the opinions of relevant professionals from universities and banks,and strengthen the feasibility of research conclusions and suggestions. |
