| In this study,38 children aged 3-6 in Chengdu H Park were sampled and observed one by one in games by using natural materials 、 the language 、movements and interactions.Each child’s games were recorded in detail.By using natural materials to analyze children’s imaginative play in terms of symbols,purpose,roles,extended,and scenario.This study found that:(1)From the distribution of the types of symbols,symbols are closely related to the actual life of young children.Although the types are relatively concentrated,they are all derived from some themes in life,there are very rich forms of expression(2)Most children can use natural materials to carry out imaginative games,some children aged 3-4 can also start games with purposes,and children aged 5-6 have more complicated game plans;(3)The role-playing type is based on social roles.There are mainly similar roles,and a few children aged 5-6 have rich role-playing,one person can play multiple roles at the same time,and natural materials can help children to solve problems in the game;(4)Nearly half of the children’s play time can last for 60 minutes.A few children aged 4-5 can last for more than a few days,and most children aged 5-6can last more than a few days;(5)More than half of the children’s game scenario will change,and about 30% of children’s game themes have not changed.Boys are more likely to change the game scenario.By analyze the relationship between natural materials and children’s imaginative play,the dissertation draws the following conclusion:(1)rich in symbols;(2)with strong purposes;(3)has more social roles and less games conflictions;(4)has a long game duration;(5)has a flexible scenario.Natural materials can support the development of children’s imagination game,so this study puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Kindergartens should add natural elements to establish children’s special feelings for natural materials;(2)Kindergartens should pay attention to the introduction of natural materials,so that “natural” become a natural part of children’s participation;(3)Kindergarten should ensure that children have sufficient play time;(4)Kindergarten teachers should believe in children’s ability to use natural materials... |
