With the rapid development of economic globalization,technological innovation capability(TIC)has become the core advantage of enterprises in the market competition.However,it is difficult for enterprises to separately consider new R&D technologies and market-oriented promotion.On the other hand,Universities and research institutions have some shortcomings in successfully commercializing scientific research results.Therefore,the collaboration between industry,university and research institutes has become the main way for enterprises to enhance their TIC.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to establish a technological innovation system with deep integration of industry,university,and research,indicating that the industry-university-research collaboration(IUR)has risen to the national strategic level.However,in the real situation,the development of IUR still has problems such as low cooperation efficiency and mismatch with corporate needs.At the same time,A suitable and effective collaboration mode of IUR is very important for enterprise strategic planning,knowledge utilization and improvement of comprehensive strength.Therefore,how to choose effective collaboration mode of IUR according to their own ability needs has become an urgent problem to be solved.In order to study how enterprises should choose the mode of collaboration according to their own needs,this paper,based on the knowledge-based theory and the ambidextrous innovation theory,sorts out and summarizes the research on IUR,TIC and knowledge base,and proposes research hypotheses through theoretical derivation and analysis,constructs a theoretical model between the IUR mode and the enterprise’s TIC,and introduces knowledge base as a moderator to explore its role between IUR mode and TIC,takes the enterprises participating in the IUR as the research object,obtains the sample data by issuing questionnaires,and uses the relevant analysis and multiple regression analysis methods to verify the relevant hypotheses,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The complementary industry-university-research collaboration(CIUR)and supplementary industry-university-research collaboration(SIUR)have a significant positive impact on both radical innovation capability(RIC)and incremental innovation capability(IIC).The CIUR has a stronger positive effect on RIC.The SIUR has a stronger positive effect on IIC.(2)The breadth of knowledge negatively moderates the relationship between CIUR and IIC,positively moderates the relationship between CIUR and RIC;Compared with the IIC,the breadth of knowledge has a stronger moderating effect on the relationship between SIUR and RIC.(3)The depth of knowledge positively moderates the relationship between the SIUR and the IIC,and negatively moderates the relationship between the SIUR and the RIC;compared with the RIC,knowledge depth has a stronger role in moderating the relationship between CIUR and IIC.
