Social Work Intervenes In The Improvement Of The Awareness Of Physical Privacy And Safety Of Urban Primary School Students

As child sexual assault cases are frequently exposed by the media,the safety of children has gradually attracted attention.The "China Children’s Development Program 2011-2020" has proposed specific measures for child protection,including sexual and reproductive health education in the compulsory education curriculum system.However,the cultural background of our country is still conservative in "talking about physical privacy".Children’s understanding of good physical contact and bad physical contact,and mastering private parts are the keys to helping children prevent sexual assault.However,the current domestic elementary school students’ awareness of children’s physical privacy and safety is still not paid attention to.The reason is the lack of separate physical privacy and safety education.Based on the above background,this research believes that from the perspective of social work to help first-year students improve the overall level of their personal social support network,that is,to improve the overall level of parent and school support and the student’s personal support ability,it will help reduce the current physical privacy of primary school students.Tragedy of sexual assault caused by insufficient safety awareness.This study takes the first grade of S primary school in Chengdu as an example,analyzes the current situation and needs of first grade primary school students’ physical privacy and safety education through questionnaire surveys,interviews,etc.,and uses the theoretical guidance of social support networks and the professional methods of school social work.Individuals,schools,and parents of primary first grade students have improved their social support capabilities for children’s physical privacy education.After the intervention,it was found that strengthening the first-year physical privacy and safety education helps to change the students’ current awareness of safety,enhance their awareness of preventing sexual assault,and promote the healthy development of children’s sexuality.Therefore,this study hopes that through the intervention of social workers,the society will pay more attention to children’s physical privacy,safety and health issues and sexual assault prevention education,and at the same time raise the awareness of children’s sex education in all walks of life,and promote children’s sex health education in campuses across the country as soon as possible.
