In 2020,the Central Propaganda Department issued the "Opinions on Promoting National Reading Work".The opinions pointed out that "Reading is an important way for citizens to acquire knowledge and increase wisdom;It also plays an important role in inheriting civilization and improving national quality.Therefore,to further promote nationwide reading activity is of great significance for the construction of spiritual civilization and the promotion of social progress." Reading has also received more and more attention from all walks of life.Flipped classroom has unique advantages in transforming students’ learning styles,cultivating students’ innovation,teamwork and communication ability;transforming students from passive learners to active learners and transforming knowledge goal into multiple ability goals.The pre-class self-study of the flipped classroom is of key significance to the implementation of the flipped classroom.While practicing in the instructor’s flipped classroom team,the author found that the freshmen have the following problems in the pre-class self-study: 1.They have low reading efficiency and spend too much time in reading.What’s more,they even don’t know how to read.2.After reading,they don’t know what they have read,and there is less content that can be effectively recalled.3.They can’t under the logical structure of the content clearly,accurately,or completely.So how to help freshmen to improve their reading efficiency and the efficiency of self-study before the flipped classroom,and make better use of the advantages of the flipped classroom.This is the key problem to be solved in this research.In view of the problems of self-study before class,by consulting related books,academic journals and other materials,under the guidance of Ebbinghaus memory curve theory,constructivism and other theories,examine reading,mind maps,memory cards and other visualizations Reading strategies are used in this study to provide learning support for freshmen majoring in educational technology in a university.And three rounds of applied research have been carried out on the application effects of visual reading strategies in self-study before flipped classroom classes.The Chaoxingerya platform is used as a resource platform,and the relevant content of the visual reading strategy is made into the platform as graphic resources,so that the freshmen can apply these strategies in the pre-class self-study link,collect learning records,analyze problems,and respond to Adjust the strategy;Use the adjusted strategy in the next round of autonomous learning,continue to observe and record the learning results.Throughout the application research process,the changes in reading motivation,reading habits,reading efficiency,memory ability,etc.of students in the entire application research are recorded through classroom observations,questionnaires,test paper tests,after-school interviews,cards and mind map scoring,etc.So as to verify the effectiveness of the visual reading strategy to support the autonomous learning of college freshmen.The study draws the following conclusions: The reading speed of students has been improved by the application of visual reading strategies.The application of visual reading strategies is also helpful to the extraction of keywords,the mastery of the important and difficult points of the content,the memory of the reading content,the mastery of the logical structure of the article content,critical thinking.Effective support was given to the raising of the problem.This research also provides an effective strategic information resource for improving the effect of self-study before the flipped classroom.
