Influence Of Parenting Style On Children’s Aggressive Behavior And Educational Advice

Aggressive behavior is the most common bad behavior in many behavioral problems of young children.Family is the main activity and socialization place of children.All kinds of family factors play a very important role in the formation and development of children’s aggressive behavior.Different parenting styles will have different effects on children’s aggressive behavior.The difference of parental rearing style is closely related to their own education level,professional characteristics,educational concept and other factors;children’s peers,parents,teachers and mass media may have a certain impact on children’s aggressive behavior.After the formation of aggressive behavior of young children is an unpredictable time bomb,which needs the high attention of parents,kindergartens and society.As the first teacher of children,parents should pay more attention to scientific prevention and effective suppression of children’s aggressive behavior.This study mainly discusses the different types of parental rearing behavior to children,from the four types of parental rearing style democracy,authority,autocracy and neglect,to study the relationship between children’s active aggression and reactive aggression.273 groups of children and parents were randomly selected from two kindergartens in Weiyang District of Xi’an City for questionnaire survey.Parents were organized to fill out "Parental rearing style scale(PBI)" and " Children’s aggressive behavior scale(parental version)".The basic situation of parental rearing style and aggressive behavior were analyzed.The results showed that 12.1%(33/273)of the children had aggressive behavior.In order to further confirm the relationship between the types of parental rearing style and the different types of aggressive behavior,4groups of children and parents with different rearing styles were selected from 33 groups for home interviews.After mean and standard deviation analysis,the conclusions are as follows:1.The most used parenting styles of parents are democratic,authoritative and autocratic,and neglect the least;2.children’s aggressive behavior gender difference is not significant;3.the age difference of children’s aggressive behavior was significant,small class children’s aggressive behavior was significantly higher than that of middle class and large class,and there was no significant difference between middle class and large class;4.there is a significant relationship between the autocracy and neglect of parental rearing style and children’s active aggressive behavior;5.there is a significant relationship between parental authority and neglect rearing style and children’s reactive aggression behavior.Based on the above conclusions,three educational suggestions are put forward: to improve parental rearing style,to create a good family upbringing environment,and to guide children to deal with emotions correctly.
