| Assimilation management of international students is a relative concept.Its connotation is to achieve the "general similarity" between international students and domestic students in enrolling,cultivating,teaching and administrating.Its purpose is to improve the internationalization level of China’s higher education and the quality of overseas talents training.This study takes vocational college G in Changzhou City of Jiangsu Province as a sample,based on the theories of inter-subjectivity and inter-culture,and cross-cultural management.It uses literature research,questionnaire survey,interviews and other research methods,in-depth analysis of the status,difficulties and causes of assimilation management of foreign students in higher vocational colleges,and puts forward countermeasures.The purpose of this paper is to provide theoretical support and practical reference for higher vocational colleges to optimize and strengthen the assimilation management of foreign students,in order to improve the scientific level of assimilation management of foreign students.The results show that in recent years,vocational college G adheres to the opening-up of college running and steadily promotes the internationalization process.Although they have actively explored and practiced the assimilation management of international students in enrollment,teaching and living,there are still many difficulties.In the management of enrollment,there are some problems such as single means of enrollment and low entry threshold.In terms of teaching management,there are some problems,such as poor resource allocation and low overall quality.In the aspect of life management,there are some problems such as prominent cultural differences and low management efficiency.The root causes of these problems lie in:the management system and mechanism of college convergence need to be improved;the comprehensive quality and ability of teaching staff need to be improved;the communication and adaptability of international students need to be enhanced.In view of the above problems,the following countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.The first is to improve the management system and mechanism of international students’ assimilation.The specific contents are to optimize the management system of international students’ assimilation,construct the management system of international students’ assimilation,and establish the coordination mechanism of international students’ assimilation management.The second is to strengthen the supply of resources and services for the assimilation management of international students,including improving the quality of teaching staff and international level,strengthening the allocation of teaching facilities and resources,and building up a professional service system for international students.The third is to give full play to the subjective role of international students,including strengthening their self-management awareness,constructing self-management platform for international students,and creating carriers for their self-development. |
