The contemporary world is a world of mass communication.In recent years,with the popularization of the Internet and the rapid development of mobile communication technology,Douyin,as one of the new carriers of network information,relies on the characteristics of novel publishing methods,short content,wide coverage of information,and strong social interaction.Has gradually become an indispensable part of college students’ daily study and life.While facilitating the entertainment and life of college students,Douyin also brings new opportunities for ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Therefore,combining Douyin with the ideological and political education of college students is an important practical problem we face.This article is based on related knowledge of communication,sociology,ideological and political education,and comprehensively uses literature research methods,questionnaire survey methods,dialectical analysis methods,and interdisciplinary comprehensive research.The full text is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction,mainly introducing The basic situation of this research.The second part defines the meaning,characteristics and development status of Douyin,and analyzes the theoretical basis of Douyin’s role in ideological and political education.In the third part,students from four colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province are selected as the research objects,and through the form of questionnaires,data analysis is conducted on the role of Douyin in the ideological and political education of college students.The fourth part explores the role of Douyin in the ideological and political education of college students.The positive effects are: enriching the information resources of college students’ ideological and political education;expanding the network space of college students’ ideological and political education;enhancing the timeliness of college students’ ideological and political education.The negative effects are: Douyin weakens the orientation of the content of ideological and political education;Douyin breaks the discourse authority of ideological and political educators;Douyin reduces the controllability of the public opinion environment of ideological and political education.The reasons for these negative effects are: the autonomy and self-discipline of college students are weak;ideological and political educators have insufficient understanding of Douyin;the relevant departments lack effective supervision of the healthy development of Douyin.The fifth part proposes an optimized path for the use of Douyin to carry out ideological and political education for college students.It proposes an optimized path from the four perspectives of the government,schools,Douyin practitioners,and college students themselves,including the government’s need to strengthen guidance and supervision,and create a good online education environment;Douyin personnel must strengthen their sense of social responsibility and improve their position;colleges and universities must take the initiative to build new positions for Douyin and innovate ideological and political education methods;college students must strengthen their sense of self-discipline and consciously resist unhealthy culture.
