Education plays a vital role in the development of a country,and the group of teachers is the cornerstone of the development of education.In and Out of the Classroom magazine and Southwest University jointly launched the "Looking for China’s ’good teachers’ public welfare action" is one of the honorary activities to encourage and praise teachers.The process of selecting excellent teachers in and out of the classroom is the process of meaning production,which is essentially completed in the interaction between the staff of the editorial department of the magazine and the teachers participating in the evaluation.Based on the field theory,this study adopts the in-depth interview method and participatory observation method,and takes the second "Looking for China’s ’Good Teachers’ Public Welfare Action" sponsored by "Open Class" magazine as the research object to participate in the preparation and practice of the activity.The selected teachers,editorial staff and reviewers were interviewed to explore how this activity endows significance to outstanding teachers,whether it can inspire other teachers,play a positive role as an example to teachers and the education system,and discuss the disputes and problems that need to be resolved in the activity.The research shows that the "Search for China’s ’Good Teachers’ Public Welfare Action" is an honor activity to spread positive energy,conforms to the mainstream values advocated by the society,and is conducive to consolidating the existing education system and promoting the development of social education.Generally selected a batch of excellent teachers,and identity in two aspects,through the construction ritual and shaped the group of teachers professional identity and professional self-confidence,improve the outside the impression for teacher groups,play a positive positive effect,but inevitably in its rules,the practice sense of uncertainty,between urban and rural teachers,principals and teachers in ordinary unreasonable resource allocation and other shortcomings,need in forward progress,perfect.This research is divided into five parts:The introduction puts forward the research background of this topic,points out the significance of the research,sorts out the existing research results of related topics,finds the logical starting point of the research,and explains the research methods.The first chapter,"Organizer of the activity",analyzes the roles and characteristics of each organizational subject in practice operation,and explores its role and influence in the event.In the second chapter,"Analysis of the participants of the activity",the researcher mainly summarized and classified the purpose of participating in the activity through the interview of the group of teachers who were evaluated,and summarized the characteristics of the group of "good teachers" on the basis of the data collection.The third chapter is the focus of this paper,which explores how the magazine carries out meaning production for "good teachers".The research finds that the magazine mainly carries out meaning production for the evaluated teachers from the two aspects of ritual sense and sense of identity,and then realizes the continuation of meaning through the communication and interaction with the teacher group.On the one hand,the ritual atmosphere created contains rich symbolic meaning,which makes mainstream values blend into the thoughts and actions of the audience,which is conducive to teachers’ professional feelings belonging and strengthens the external recognition of teachers’ group.On the other hand,in the communication and interaction of the teachers,the meaning of "good teacher" is integrated with the individual’s understanding,interpretation and supplement,and the propaganda behavior,experience sharing,rules and suggestions will all promote the development of the activity.The fourth chapter,"Existing Problems and Disputes",summarizes the questions raised by the respondents on the implementation of the activities during the research process.Rules in the participation,review two aspects of the formulation of rough,subjective;The resource allocation disputes between the city and the country,and between the principal and the teacher are all urgent problems to be solved when the activities of the magazine are in progress.
