In the context of the domestic and international cycle, the activation of the rural consumer market will help to realize the "inner cycle and the urban-rural cycle",and the upgrading of consumption is the focus of the realization of the "dual cycle" strategy. The problem of insufficient consumer demand in my country has long existed. The consumption rate is low,and the consumption rate of residents has been on a downward trend in recent years. The consumption rate of rural residents is even lower than 10%.The problem of insufficient consumer demand has become a constraint on my country’s economic growth and development.Among them, the consumption problem of residents in rural areas is particularly prominent.Inner Mongolia is a large area of agriculture and animal husbandry. The population of farmers and herdsmen accounts for 38% of the total population, and the characteristics of agriculture and animal husbandry are obvious.Based on the theory of consumer economics, this paper uses classic econometric models, including the extended ELES model and semi-log regression model,to study consumption upgrades in Inner Mongolia based on a dual-cycle background.Analyze the consumption level, consumption structure change trends and characteristics of Inner Mongolian farmers and herdsmen, study the consumption structure upgrade of Inner Mongolian farmers and herdsmen, and finally study the factors of farmers and herdsmen’s consumption upgrade, and put forward relevant policy recommendations. The research content and conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)First,select the income and expenditure data of farmers and herdsmen in Inner Mongolia from 1980 to 2019 to analyze the consumption level and change trend, and make a comprehensive comparison with the consumption level of urban residents.Next,it analyzes the characteristics of changes in the living consumption expenditure and various consumption expenditures of farmers and herdsmen in Inner Mongolia from 2000 to 2019,and analyzes the degree of change in the consumption structure of farmers and herdsmen in Inner Mongolia. The conclusion shows that the income and consumption levels of farmers and herdsmen in Inner Mongolia have increased year by year, and consumption has gone through the same five stages as income changes. It will be in a stable and sustained growth stage by 2019,and will continue to develop at a high speed in the future. The average consumption tendency and marginal consumption tendency of farmers and herdsmen fluctuate greatly, which reflects the instability of consumption by farmers and herdsmen. The analysis of eight categories of consumption expenditure shows that the consumption level of farmers and herdsmen has increased significantly.Since 2000,the material and spiritual lives of farmers and herdsmen have been greatly improved, and they are steadily transitioning to a wealthy level, and the consumption structure has been increasingly upgraded. But overall, the consumption level of farmers and herdsmen is still low, which is significantly different from that of urban residents.(2)Select the consumption expenditure structure data of urban and rural residents in 2013-2017 grouped by five types of income, based on the extended linear expenditure system model to study the consumption structure upgrade of farmers and herdsmen in Inner Mongolia. On the whole, the marginal propensity of farmers and herdsmen to consume is smaller.Among the expenditures on basic needs of herdsmen, the expenditures on food, housing, transportation and communications are relatively large, while expenditures on the basic needs of clothing and household equipment are relatively small. The overall income flexibility of farmers and herdsmen is small, and the gap between urban and rural areas is obvious. The rigid consumption of the people. The consumption of farmers and herdsmen has also gradually shifted from subsistence consumption to enjoyment consumption, but income restrictions make their basic consumption still occupy a larger proportion.(3)Theoretical analysis of the factors affecting the consumption upgrade of farmers and herdsmen in Inner Mongolia and the establishment of a semi-logarithmic regression model showed that permanent income and social security employment expenditures have no significant impact on the consumption upgrade of farmers and herdsmen.Precautionary savings all have a positive impact on consumption upgrades, and the industrial structure has a greater positive effect. Finally, based on the background of the double loop, corresponding suggestions are put forward, and the directions for further in-depth research are discussed. |
