| Peer interaction is an important theme of undergraduate students’ study experience.Undergraduates often contact, recognize, interact and communicate with peers or groups around them for various needs, which can not only enhance their friendship and deep feelings, but also promote the growth and development of both sides of interaction in a broader and deeper sense. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience and process of undergraduate peer interaction, analyze their personal gains from participating in peer interaction, explore the factors behind their interactive gains, and provide enlightenment for promoting the beneficial development of undergraduate peer interaction and their gains, which is of great significance for enriching undergraduate study experience and improving the quality of undergraduate education. In this study,20 undergraduate students in Z University of Zhejiang Province were interviewed in depth by qualitative research method, and the transcripts of interviews were used as first-hand data, and the data were coded step by step with the help of qualitative analysis software, finally,a theoretical model of undergraduate peer interaction and its harvest was constructed.By sorting out and analyzing the research data, the main conclusions are as follows: First, there are three types of relationships in undergraduate peer interaction,namely,"authority-obedience type","equality-cooperation type" and "equality-competition type";Secondly, based on peer interaction events, the study summarizes six major themes of undergraduate peer interaction. These themes are: sharing help, emotional friendship, cooperation and division of labor, incentive and supervision, convergence and adaptation, and conflicts;Third, undergraduate peer interaction has four characteristics:(1)autonomy and dependence coexist in peer interaction behavior;(2)Time and space conditions are the basic premise of interaction;(3)"Seeking common ground" and "reserving differences" run through the process of peer interaction;(4)The inheritance spirit of "the old one brings the new one" is an important link to maintain peer interaction;Fourthly, through the step-by-step coding analysis,it is concluded that undergraduates’ gains in peer interaction mainly include five dimensions: "interpersonal relationship and emotion","knowledge learning and practical skills","social comprehensive ability","value cognition" and "scientific research cognition and ability",and "students’ self-gain and growth" is the core category that plays a key role.In terms of influencing factors of undergraduates’ peer interaction, students’ individual roles and responsibilities, interactive atmosphere, interactive mode, and field and challenge of interactive content will all have certain influence on students’ participation in interaction. In order to make peer interaction play a more positive and beneficial effect on undergraduates’ harvest and improve the quality of undergraduates’ education, the study thinks that colleges and universities need to take a series of measures of "system+platform+atmosphere" to make the three work together and create superior convenience for students’ interaction and harvest;Undergraduate students should give attention to the strong and weak relationship between peers, peer interaction and teacher-student interaction, and pay attention to the interaction way under the line. However, the contribution and initiative of individual students in the interaction process is the key to improve their interactive harvest. |
