Research On The Application Of VR Technology In Junior Middle School Physics Experiment Teaching

In recent years,with the introduction of new concepts such as "Internet + education" and "AI + education",as well as the development of modern information technology and the gradual expansion of the scale of education,the drawbacks of traditional physics experimental teaching have become increasingly prominent,such as the single teaching mode,the lack of image and specific content of the experimental teaching,and the difficulty in exerting the subjective initiative of students,etc.Therefore,more and more people use modern technology to assist teaching,such as Geometry Sketchpad,Simulation Lab,Unity3 D,etc.However,Geometry Sketchpad requires teachers to build models,which is time-consuming;simulation experiments and Unity3 D are good teaching methods in physics teaching,but for experimental teaching,the simulation experiment is not enough for three-dimensional image.Although Unity3 D is three-dimensional,it does not have a strong sense of immersion and interaction.VR technology has a strong sense of immersion and interaction.The effective combination of VR technology and real experiments can well solve the drawbacks of traditional experiments.Therefore,the author has made a preliminary exploration on the application of VR technology to junior high school physics experiment teaching.This article has conducted the following researches on the application of VR technology to junior high school physics experiment teaching:1)Through the literature analysis method,combed the research status of physics experiment teaching at home and abroad,and found that foreign countries pay great attention to the fun of experimental teaching and the perceptual cognition of students in the learning process;Foreign countries also have a lot of research on the application of VR technology to experimental teaching,and developed the VR laboratory.But its application is more in universities and less in middle schools.Searching on CNKI with "virtual reality + experimental education" as a keyword,found that there are few documents related to the application of VR technology to junior high school physics experiment teaching.Therefore,this article is very necessary for research.2)Through the analysis of the high school entrance examination questions in Chongqing for the past three years,it is understood that the total score of the electrical experiment questions accounts for about 40% of the total score of the electrical questions,and the requirements for students are at the level of knowledge,understanding and skills.Through literature analysis and interview methods,I learned that the current electrical experiments are difficult to learn,difficult to teach,the experimental equipment is worn out,and the image is not specific enough.Therefore,this article from the perspective of knowledge visualization,relying on VR technology,a popular technology in the education field,explores the application schemes and strategies of virtual reality technology in junior high school physics experiment teaching,and discovers problems in practice,and continuously improves them to better Optimize teaching effect.3)The subject designs teaching based on "Humanism Theory",and uses VR technology as an auxiliary means of experimental teaching.Instructional design is divided into three sections: before class,during class,after class,and "student-centered" design teaching before class;Student learning process is the process of transforming "concrete experience" into "abstract experience".Therefore,the teaching process takes the "Tower of Experience" as the theoretical guide,and pays full attention to students’ perceptual cognition and situational experience to ensure that the knowledge is easier to understand and the students’ basic abilities are better developed;After class,students can conduct personalized learning based on their hobbies and characteristics on the mobile platform.4)The teaching implementation process is divided into four stages: preliminary preparation,students’ division of labor and cooperation,exploration of new knowledge,and summary.In the first stage,introduce the experiment objectives,tasks and procedures to students by means of lectures;In the second stage,VR experiments are carried out with vrstartup Steam VR software as a technical support,and the students cooperate in division of labor;In the third stage,students solve the problems encountered during the experiment by observing the teacher’s demonstration experiment;The fourth stage guides students to summarize and draw conclusions of the experiment.After the implementation process is completed,use questionnaire survey and interview methods to analyze and summarize the teaching effect,and reflect on the deficiencies of this experiment.The research results show that the application of VR technology to the teaching of physics experiments in junior high schools greatly enhances students’ interest in learning and the research has achieved certain results.However,VR experiments cannot replace real experiments.Only when VR experiments are effectively combined with real experiments can they give full play to their advantages and make physics experiments shine in teaching.
