With the continuous advancement of my country’s educational reform and development, special education has received more and more attention from the country. In special education,regular-class education is capable of making full use of existing educational resources and providing the least restriction for disabled children. This form of education have received more and more attention, and have gradually become the most influential, widest and largest number of students in my country’s special education system. However,in the form of education in regular-class,disabled children are in the same teaching environment as ordinary students, their own physical defects are more prominent, and psychological problems are more likely to occur. On this issue, the education industry has begun to put forward higher and higher requirements for the professional level of teachers’ mental health education, but there are obvious shortcomings in the guidance of family education.Studies have shown that the appropriate expectations of parents can stimulate their children’s potential, transform them into their children’s achievement motivation, guide their children to develop good habits, form firm beliefs, have a high sense of self-efficacy,and promote their children’s mental health development;parents’ good parenting style can enable students to live in a healthy family, which is also beneficial to the shaping of students’ good personality and mental health. Therefore, studying the relationship between parents’ expectations of their children’s mental health and parenting styles, and exploring the impact of the content and degree of mental health expectations on parenting style scan guide parents to establish appropriate expectations for the mental health of disabled children and help parents make reasonable adjustments and make great significance to promote the mental health of students in regular classes. This article takes regular class students and their parents in Longhua District,Shenzhen as the research object.Through questionnaire surveys, interviews and other methods,we understand the parenting styles of regular-class students in the region and their expectations for their children’s mental health, and analyze their characteristics and its internal relations. The results of the study show that parents of regular class students in the region have the highest expectations for their children’s mental health, followed by expectations for social development, next for learning adaptability, and the lowest expectations for emotional control. In terms of parenting methods, authoritative and spoiling parenting are mostly adopted. There are significant differences in parenting styles and mental health expectations in factors such as students’ family background and personal circumstances. In addition,in exploring the inner relationship between the parenting styles of students in regular classes and their expectations of their children’s mental health,it is found that the expectation of social development, learning adaptability, and emotional regulation is significantly positively correlated with authoritative parenting styles;there is a positive correlation between social development, learning adaptability expectation and authoritarian parenting styles, and the expectation of emotional regulation is negatively correlated with it Relationship;expectation of emotion regulation is positively correlated with the parenting style of doting parents, and there is a negative relationship between expectations of social development and learning adaptability;expectations of social development, learning adaptability, and emotion regulation are negatively related to the parenting style of neglecting parents relationship..Based on this,it is proposed that parents of students in regular classes should establish comprehensive and appropriate mental health expectations and form correct parenting methods to promote the development of mental health of students in regular classes.
