| Special Education needs students are place into appropriate learning-support environments or Special Education school with the hope of reintegrating them back into the inclusive school environment at mainstream schools.These students are taught using an inclusive curriculum issued by the Education system to primary school that is focused mainly on rudimentary literacy and numeracy.The curriculum was designed for an inclusive environment in a mainstream school;however,it is being used in an environment that consist only of special education students,this questions the impact that the curriculum has on the student achievements goals and objectives.Thus,this study seeks to highlights educator’s perspective on the impact of the curriculum on students learning outcome.The study was conducted using online questionnaires which was analyzed using thematic analysis.The results from the analysis of the raw data revealed that the curriculum did not have any significant impact on student learning outcome.The result also suggested that the current curriculum is not favorable due to its lack of proper structure and is somewhat ineffective,resulting in students not being able to reach their full potential,with a very small number of them advancing to other education institution. |
