| Family education has attracted the focus from all aspects of the society,and more and more families pursue for high-quality parents’ company.Parent-child companionship plays an important role in nurturing children’s cognitive ability,non cognitive ability,learning habits and mental health.Parent-child companionship is not only the starting point of parent-child relationship,but also an important indicator of the quality of family education.At the same time,family is the initial growth environment of children,parents are the main body of parent-child accompany,and parent-child accompany behavior is more and more affected by family factors.The parents of "post-80s" have unique social characteristics.In terms of the social environment in which they grew up,with the reform and opening up,the overall social environment is more open and rich.They have formed values and behavior characteristics different from their parents.In terms of the family environment in which they grew up,under the influence of the national family planning policy,the family structure and environment in which the "post-80s" grew up are very different from the previous generation.This study,on the basis of current family education reality,from the perspective of family capital theory,intents to explore various elements’ influence on the "post-80s" parents’ accompanying behavior.Firstly,through literature analysis,this paper reviews the research progress of parent accompany behavior and family capital with the statement of relevant concepts and theoretical basis.Secondly,based on the field survey data of 485 "post-80s" parents in Wuxi City,this study makes a descriptive analysis on the family capital and accompanying behavior of "post-80s" parents,so as to figure out their current status,through the descriptive analysis,the accompanying behavior status and the characteristics of accompanying behavior of parents in different families are grasped as a whole.Meanwhile,the problems along with are summarized.Thirdly,through systematic analysis,this study finds that family economic capital,family cultural capital and family social capital have a significant impact on parents’ accompanying behavior of post-80 s generation.Family social capital influences on parents’ accompanying behavior of post-80 s generation most,followed by family cultural capital,and family economic capital remains least.Family economic capital,as the basis of all family activities,directly affects the variety of accompanying content and the material support of accompanying activities;family cultural capital,relatively recessive,exerts a subtle influence on parents’ accompanying consciousness and quality;family cultural capital,which is internalized in parents’ self-cultivation and explicitly in individual appearance,communication behavior,knowledge and so on,the family cultural capital owned by parents could be taken as the elements in influencing the consciousness of parent-child accompany and family education to a certain degree,while consensus,as the preconception will influence parent-child accompany behavior;The parents’ job category in family social capital affects whether parents could accompany the child continuously in the whole process of games,reading and other activities.In family social capital,parents’ educational expectation,parent-child relationship,counseling homework,and communication can reflect parents’ willingness to accompany behavior respectively.Lastly,based on the discussion above,this paper proposes specific suggestions to improve parents’ accompanying behavior,for instance,enhance living level,upgrade family capital and build up a harmonic family atmosphere on the basis of improving family capital.Firstly,it could be effectively promoted via the transformation of family economic capital and reasonable time allocation,to enhance parental accompanying behavior support;Secondly,creating a strong cultural atmosphere and increasing the frequency of parent-child activities could improve this positively;Finally,it is mainly promoted from the construction of harmonious network relationship inside and outside the family by highlighting schools’ efforts in strenghthening family education and promoting the joint efforts of the government and the community to form parents’ willingness to accompany their children. |
