Study On The Current Situation And Strategy Of The Internationalization Development Of Vocational Colleges In Jiangxi Province

In the context of economic globalization and trade liberalization,it is also accompanied by the flow of knowledge,internationalization of production,internationalization of science and technology,and the flow of production factors such as personnel,technology,information and management experience.As a type of education with close economic ties and direct contribution to regional industries,higher vocational education is responsible for cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents for economic development and industrial optimization and upgrading,therefore,the research on internationalization of higher vocational education has received increasing attention from scholars.As a pilot inland open economy zone,Jiangxi Province needs to actively integrate into the "Belt and Road" initiative externally and actively participate in the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt internally,and dovetail with the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.Therefore,in order to meet the demand of opening up to the outside world and industrial upgrading,higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province need to improve the level of internationalization,make good use of international education resources and improve the quality of international quality personnel training.At present,the internationalization development of higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province still has problems such as the internationalization concept is not strong and the overall development degree is not high;the dependence of internationalization development is strong and cooperative education is in a weak position;the form of internationalization is greater than the content and the software and hardware facilities are insufficient,etc.In addition,there is a big gap between the internationalization development degree of higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province and international cooperation needs to be promoted in the direction of balance and depth.Based on the preliminary analysis of the current situation of internationalization of higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province,this study selects three typical higher vocational colleges,namely Jiangxi College of Foreign Trade,Jiangxi College of Finance and Economics and Jiujiang Vocational and Technical College,as cases,and through field research and interviews,combined with Jane Knight’s theory of internationalization strategy classification and comparative advantage theory,to deeply interpret Through field research and interviews,the project strategies and organizational strategies of internationalization as well as the special practices and advantages of internationalization development of these three higher vocational colleges,we understand the implementation process of internationalization in different higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province and draw inspiration from them.To improve internationalization,Jiangxi higher education institutions need to start from both internal and external levels.On the internal level,on the one hand,we should start from the organization strategy of the institution: strengthen the internationalization awareness,clarify the strategic goal of internationalization;clarify the responsibilities of each organization and establish a mechanism to ensure the reasonable operation of internationalization;ensure the sufficient quantity and stable quality of teachers,and stimulate the enthusiasm of teachers to teach internationally.On the other hand,we should start from the project strategies of institutions: optimize the quality of Sinoforeign cooperative education and improve the efficiency of school operation;give full play to the advantages of higher education institutions and deepen international industry-education integration projects;ensure sufficient quantity and stable quality of teachers,and stimulate teachers’ enthusiasm of international teaching.At the external level,the government and other related departments need to further improve policies and regulations,increase financial support and simplify the approval process.
