Research On The Complexity Of Social System From The Perspective Of Luhmann’s Social System Theory

The problem of complexity has been a focus of system philosophy research in recent years,and the complexity of social system is an important aspect of the problem of complexity.Luhmann is a master of contemporary social system theory research.His social system theory contains the core idea of social system complexity.In view of this,this article takes Luhman’s social system theory as the field of view,definition,the root and the corresponding simplification scheme of the complexity of social system are systematically explained,aiming to find a suitable reference point for the deep analysis of the complexity of the social system.Luhmann applied system theory to the construction of his social system theory,which promoted the paradigm shift in the complexity of social system.Based on Luhmann’s social system theory,the exploration of social complexity issues is of great academic research value.In view of this,based on the main system thoughts of Luhmann’s social system theory,it discusses the definition,roots,and simplification schemes of social complexity from three aspects.First,we must analyze Luhmann’s definition of the complexity of the social system.On this basis,we will further discuss the root of the complexity of the social system,including:the uncertainty of the subjective will of people,the double contingency in communication;the complexity of internal system,the complexity of the system environment,the complexity of the mechanism between the internal system and the system environment;the complexity of the social structure,the complexity caused by the differentiation of social functions,the complexity of the mechanism between the social structure and the differentiation of social functions,etc.Corresponding to the root of the complexity of the social system,the simplification scheme proposed by Luhmann is explained.Through the religious system and communication codes and media,simplify the uncertainty of people’s subjective will and the double contingency in communication;use complexity to simplify the complexity mechanism and meaning system,simplify the complexity of the internal system and the system environment;use the structure Coupling mechanism and human rights issues,simplifying the complexity caused by the differentiation of social structure and social functions;using trust as the foothold of Luhmann’s simplification plan,simplifying the complexity of the overall social system.Finally,based on the in-depth discussion of Luhmann’s simplification scheme,dialectically analyze the advantages and the areas to be improved of simplification scheme,so as to further broaden the research path of social system complexity to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of social complexity issues.
