| Objective: To investigate college students’ past physical exercise and current depression, and analyze the relationship between physical exercise and depression. To study the methods of relieving depression in college students through physical intervention. Methods: Taking ordinary college students as research objects, the International Physical Activity Question-naire was used to measure college students’ previous physical exercise status. The patient health questionnaire depression scale(Patient Health Quesyionnaire-9,PHQ-9)was determined.Measure the depression status of college students;compile sports-related topics by looking up sports-related literature,as a supplement to the International Physical Strength Scale(IPAQ),and make all of its scales into electronic questionnaires through questionnaire stars.SPASS 17.0(Statistical Product and Service Solutions)statistical software was used to process the data, and independent sample T-test,chi-square test, and regression analysis were used for statistical analysis.Results:(1)Comparing the gender and grade of college students with depression screening rates, the differences between gender groups were significant(P = 0.000),while the differences between grade groups were not significant(P> 0.05);Male college students had no depression of 42.9%,mild depression of 40.9%,moderate depression of 2.4%,and severe depression of 0.4%;female students had no depression of 28.0%,mild depression of 50.3%,moderate depression of 4.2%,and severe depression of 1.5%.(2)There was a significant difference between the groups of meditation duration on workdays and meditation duration on rest days(P = 0.053,0.031).The average daily sedentary time for college students with negative depression screening is 6.29 h per day,and the average daily sedentary time for rest days is 5.94 h.The average daily workday for college students with positive depression screening is 6.60 h per day, with an average of rest days.Sedentary everyday is usually 6.76h;(3)The sports items that college students participate the most are: running(48.6%),table tennis(39.15%),basketball(22.31%),badminton(22.20%).The students who participated in the 2 programs at the same time had the least depression, and the negative screening rate was 31.5%.The highest proportion of moderate exercise among people without depression was 51.4%;(4)Significant differences between groups were found in sports habits, attitudes, and depression(P = 0.004,0.000).Among people without depression, negative attitudes toward sports accounted for only 1.1%,far less than other groups;76.3% of people without depression had exercise habits;there was no significant difference between internal motivation and external motivation(P = 0.543)The motivation of college students of all depression levels is mainly internal motivation(69.4% ~ 80.0%).Conclusions:(1)The positive rate of depression screening for female college students is higher than that of male students;(2)The positive depression screening rate of the older students was higher than that of the younger students(3)The proportion of college students participating in running is the highest, among which the screening rate of depression participating in two sports at the same time is the lowest, and the moderate exercise amount has the best intervention effect on depression.(4)The degree of depression of college students with sports habits is lower than that of college students without sports;the degree of depression of college students with positive attitudes to sports is lower than that of college students with negative attitudes to sports. |
