Objective: The objective of this study is to track and measurement of the three physical indicators of children and adolescents from 9 to 14 years of age, height, sitting height, and weight, for two consecutive years, the study explores the quarterly increase and change of each indicator for children of different ages in two years, and determines the time and time of youth spurts.Reach peak age and peak velocity levels.Provide data support and reference basis for understanding the growth spurt law of children and adolescents in recent years and correctly evaluating the growth rate. Methods: A stratified cluster sampling method was adopted to randomly select 800 children and adolescents from three schools in Pan jin City(girls 9-12 years old, boys 11-14 years old). The body weight was tracked and measured for 2 consecutive years, and the final number of valid data was 773,and the quarterly increase and change of each indicator in 2years was analyzed.Results:(1)The height, weight, and sitting height of children and adolescents aged 9 to14 had increased with age at different rates during the two years, and there were gender differences.Generally speaking, boys growth and development levels were higher than girls.(2)The growth changes of the height, weight, and sitting height of boys and girls were in line with the general law of human growth and development.Girls enter the youth spurt period 2 years earlier than boys. The growth spurt period of boys was between 12 and 14 years old,and the growth spurt period of girls was between 10 and 12 years old.The spurt ages of all indicators were basically the same. The peak age of height increase(PHA)of boys was 12.16±1.03 years old,the peak velocity(PHV)was 9.74±1.87 cm/yr;The peak age of girls was 10.08±0.89 years old,and the peak velocity was 8.37±2.46 cm/yr;The peak weight gain age(PWA)of boys was 12.50±0.68 years old,the peak velocity(PWV)was10.79±3.67 kg/yr;The peak age for girls was 10.58±0.95 years and the peak velocity was8.56±2.59 kg/yr;The peak age of sitting height increase(PSA)for boys was 12.00±1.26 years and the peak velocity(PSV)was 5.31±2.10 cm/yr;The peak age for girls was 10.13±0.93 years, the peak velocity was 4.97±1.40 cm/yr.(3)The growth rate curve of the height of adolescent boys and girls was similar to that of sitting height. The peak growth rate was concentrated in the first quarter of tracking(March to May),and the peak weight rate was concentrated in the third tracking season(September to November). We could take certain intervention methods and measures according to the peak period of rapid growth of various indicators to ensure the healthy growth of children and adolescents.(4)The growth rate curve of the height of adolescent boys and girls was similar to that of sitting height. The peak growth rate was concentrated in the first quarter of tracking(March to May),and the peak weight rate was concentrated in the third tracking season(September to November). We could take certain intervention methods and measures according to the peak period of rapid growth of various indicators to ensure the healthy growth of children and adolescents. Conclusion: The physical indicators of children and adolescents in adolescence increase with age.Compared with previous studies at home and abroad, the height growth spurt period and peak age(PHA)of children and adolescents has a certain trend in advance, and the growth spurt peak velocity(PHV)has also changed, indicating that with the development of the times, there is a long-term trend in the growth and development of children and adolescents. At the same time, the growth and development of children and adolescents during the spurt of youth also have differences in race, region, environment and age.
