Study On Family Social Support Of Children With Cerebral Palsy

With the development of Chinese society,more and more attention has been paid to the vulnerable groups.The rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy is a long process,Families of children with cerebral palsy not only have to bear a huge economic expenditure,but also have to bear unspeakable mental pressure.As time goes by,families will have problems,get into trouble,and become one of the vulnerable groups in society.However,at present,the focus of the society is often on the individual of children with cerebral palsy,and the degree of attention to the families of children with cerebral palsy is obviously low.In this paper,first-hand data were collected by contacting families of children with cerebral palsy.Parents of children with cerebral palsy,special education teachers of rehabilitation institutions,community workers and their residents were interviewed.Social support theory was used to analyze the social support situation of survival needs,mutual relationship needs,growth and development needs obtained and needed by families of children with cerebral palsy,Objective to investigate the living status and social support of families of children with cerebral palsy in S County.From the perspective of formal and informal social support,the author analyzes the social support of the families of children with cerebral palsy,and finds that the social support system of the families of children with cerebral palsy in s county is unbalanced.Their social support relies too much on informal support such as family,relatives and friends,and some of the subjects of formal support do not play a role.Based on the lack of social support,the author puts forward corresponding suggestions from the government,community,social organizations and family level,hoping to help families of children with cerebral palsy solve the difficulties they face,maintain normal family life,and bring positive impact on the rehabilitation and development of cerebral palsy rehabilitation.
