Functional training is a systematic multi-dimensional mode of training,focusing on the stimulation of all joints and muscles of the body,coordinating the participation of all joints and muscles of the body,improving muscle control ability and body balance and stability.Swimming belongs to the physical dominance class speed power sports,balance is a prerequisite for mastering swimming technology,in the process of swimming,the body balance will be constantly displaced,need to constantly control their own body to stabilize the body’s center of gravity,so the body control ability to put forward high requirements.This experiment is an eight-week functional training experiment by adding functional training tools to the training of 15 members of the children’s swimming long training class to explore whether functional training is more effective than traditional training on the balance ability of children aged 9-11 years old in swimming.The purpose was to try to improve the balance ability of 9-11 year old children’s swimming through functional training,and to improve the scientific and systematic training of children’s swimming long training class.In this study,we used literature method,expert interview method,questionnaire method and experimental method to carry out research on the balance ability of children aged 9-11 years old swimming.Aiming at the current situation of training children’s swimming long training classes,the theory and method of functional training were referred to children’s swimming training,and an eight-week functional training program was developed from the perspectives of shoulder joint control,core trunk stability,hip joint flexibility and upper and lower limb support training respectively,so as to improve children’s swimming balance ability,enrich children’s The program is designed to improve children’s swimming balance,enrich children’s swimming training content,and provide a theoretical basis for children’s participation in swimming training.The experiment selected 30 members of the swimming long training class in Yiyang City Power Translation District,using a lottery,the two groups were randomly divided into 15 members of the experimental group for functional training and 15 members of the control group for traditional training,with an experimental intervention period of 8weeks,from the end of June 2020 to the end of August 2020.The indicators were tested before and after the experiment in the experimental group and the control group,respectively.Study results:1.The experts interviewed through the "study on the effect of functional training on the balance ability of 9-11 years old children’s swimming",and considered that thefunctional training method is reasonable,the concept is novel,and the results are effective,which is in line with the regular characteristics of youth growth and development,and is worthy of reference for all kinds of children’s swimming clubs.2.Functional training can improve the land balance ability of the experimental group players.Functional training can significantly improve the land dynamic balance ability compared with traditional training,but functional training does not significantly improve the performance of land static balance ability compared with traditional training.3.After the experiment,the data of functional movement screening and balance ability test indexes of the experimental group and the control group were compared and analyzed,and the results showed that the performance of prone floating balance test indexes of static balance ability on land and static balance ability in water of the experimental group did not have significant differences compared with the control group(P>0.05);the performance of prone floating balance test indexes of static balance ability in water of the experimental group had significant differences compared with the control group There was a significant difference(P<0.05);the functional movement screening,dynamic balance ability on land and dynamic balance ability in water of the experimental group had a very significant difference(P<0.01)compared with the control group,and the mean value of all test indexes in the experimental group was greater than that of the control group,indicating that the balance ability of the experimental group was significantly improved compared with that of the control group.Study conclusions.:1.Functional training has a positive impact on functional movement screening.Through functional training,the body posture and the asymmetry of both sides of the body of the members of the children’s swimming long training class were improved,the stability and flexibility of the hip,knee and ankle joints were improved,the strength of the trunk pillar was improved,and the stability and control of the body were enhanced.2.Functional training can improve the land balance ability of the players in the experimental group.Functional training can significantly improve the land dynamic balance ability compared with traditional training,but functional training has no significant difference on the land static balance ability compared with traditional training.3.Functional training has a significant advantage over traditional training in improving the water balance ability of the experimental group players,functional training compared to traditional training can significantly improve the dynamic balance ability in water and static balance ability in water supine floating balance,but the static balance ability in water prone floating balance,the performance of the experimental group compared to the control group does not have a significant advantage.4.From the results of the study,the functional training program developed by sorting out the training of children’s swimming long training class members and the laws of children’s physical and mental development and combining with the characteristics of swimming sports,has contributed to the improvement of swimming balance ability of children aged 9-11.
