Red culture is a unique socialist culture formed by the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in the process of revolution,construction and reform.It is an important resource of ideological and political education for contemporary college students.The dissemination of red culture in colleges and universities can help college students resist historical nihilism,strengthen their cultural confidence and strengthen the identity of mainstream values.At present,the dissemination practice of red culture in domestic colleges and universities has been developed,and red culture coruscates new vitality among college students.Dalian University of Technology(DUT)was founded for the construction of modern industrial system in China before the founding of the People’s Republic of China.It has been carrying the red gene since the beginning of its establishment and is one of the pioneers in the dissemination of red culture in universities.This paper mainly adopts the research methods of literature research and questionnaire survey,taking Dalian University of Technology as the object of investigation,to investigate students’ cognition and attitude towards the dissemination of red culture in schools,and to analyze the relationship between students’ basic information and the content and channels of the dissemination of red culture in schools.It is hoped that some common rules can be found and some thoughts and suggestions can be put forward to improve students’ cognition and attitude towards the dissemination of red culture in colleges and universities.It is found that students of different genders,grades and political status have different cognition and attitude towards the dissemination of red culture in schools.There is a correlation between the frequency of students’ contact with various contents and channels of red culture communication and their cognition and attitude.There is a positive correlation between the frequency of students’ contact with contents related to the four history,Dalian history,school history and traditional culture and the degree of students’ understanding of red culture.There is a positive correlation between the frequency of contact with campus cultural activity channels and students’ support degree,satisfaction degree and participation intention.The contents and channels of the dissemination of red culture in schools have different explanatory powers on students’ cognition and attitude.On this basis,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the dissemination of red culture in colleges and universities from the perspectives of the contents,channels,formulation of communication plans,construction of communication systems and construction of communication patterns.
