| Peer relationship plays a prominently role that can’t be placed by adults in children’socialization.The background of school bullying is peer group.For a long time,research on peer relationship mainly focused on personality characteristics and school adaptation,while ignoring the characteristics of peer relationship and its influencing factors in bullying.From the perspective of the participants roles in bullying behavior,we conducted the research on children’s interpersonal conflict resolution strategies and peer relationships,hoping to understand peer relationships and provide a theoretical basis for improving interpersonal relationships.Totally 288 secondary school students were investigated,using participant role questionnaire,peer relationship scale and the questionnaire about interpersonal conflict resolution strategy.The major findings are as follows:(1)Participants roles,interpersonal conflict resolution strategies,and peer relationships are significantly different in demographic variables such as grade,grade status,family status,etc.;(2)Higher peer acceptance can be predict by positively resolution strategies,and peer rejection can be predict by negatively conflict resolution strategies;negative resolution strategies will cause poor peer acceptance and higher peer rejection;(3)At different levels of interpersonal conflict resolution strategy,there are differences in the influence of participant roles on peer relationship.When better conflict resolution strategies are used,the peer relationship of the defenders are better than assistants.For the defenders and the outsider,if they use positive strategies,they will get better peer relationships than other roles,and negative interpersonal conflict resolution strategies will cause poorer peer relationships. |
