Study On Travel Behavior Characteristics And Barriers Of Elderly Female Tourists ——A Case Study Of Elderly Women In Leshan

According to the requirements of the "Tenth Five-year Plan for The Development of China’s tourism industry" and the outline of long-term Goals for 2015 and 2020,the Chinese government will vigorously develop "Sunset Glow" and "Silver Hair" series of tourism products during the “Tenth Five-year Plan”,and meticulously create a number of high-quality tourism products for the elderly.Urban elderly tourism as an important driving force of tourism economy has been the consensus of tourism industry managers and tourism researchers.As an important tourist destination with Mount Emei-Leshan Giant Buddha world cultural and natural heritage,Leshan city has a great demand for elderly tourism.This research paper takes the elderly female tourists in Leshan city as the research object,obtains the basic data through the questionnaire survey,and uses SPSS and AMOS mathematical statistics software to study the traveling behavior characteristics of the elderly female tourists and the obstacles affecting.By paying attention to the tourism behavior characteristics of the elderly female tourists and analyzing the travel obstacles that restrict the group’s,it is beneficial to find measures to ease the travel obstacles and promote the development and construction of the tourism market of the elderly women in China.The main research results of this paper are as follows :（1）elderly female tourists tend to be "young" in age,healthy in body,stable in income,and have more leisure time;（2）elderly female tourists take sightseeing as the main purpose,like to travel with the group,stay for a long time,like to travel across provinces,with high consumption level behavior characteristics;（3）the older women tourists travel inner structure obstacle,attitudes and demographic and travel behavior characteristics of multiple factors: travel attitude obstacle by demographics（age,culture level,monthly income）and trip characteristics（travel time consumption,travel time,going out sources of transportation,travel expenses,geographical range）,a total of eight factors;The intrinsic barriers of traveling are influenced by education level and traveling characteristics,（including traveling mode,traveling consumption,traveling stay time,traveling means of transportation,traveling area）,a total of eight factors;The structural barriers of traveling are affected by five factors: monthly income,tourist consumption,traveling time,transportation,and traveling area.In view of the behavioral characteristics of elderly female tourists and the influencing factors of travel barriers in Leshan town,the following suggestions are put forward from the perspective of safeguarding the tourism rights and interests of elderly women and the coordinated development of tourism management between tourism enterprises and the government:（1）strengthen the guiding role of the government and improve the elderly tourism service guarantee system;（2）strengthen related tourism research and product development for elderly women,and improve the professional,systematic and standardized level of services;（3）stimulate the market demand of elderly women’s tourism and guide the new tourism concept.
