Analysis On Techniques And Tactics Applied By Chinese Women’s Epee Team In 2019 World Fencing Championships

To understand the characteristics of skills and tactics,winning strategies and provide information for tactical training,the application of skills and tactics used by four Chinese elite epee fencers participating in the 2019 World Fencing Championships were analyzed.Methods: 4 rounds(36rallies)from 1/16 final to semifinal were selected from the2019 World Fencing Championships team competition.The author counted and averaged the data of each fencer classified by attack,counterattack,defensive counterattack,position of touches,body area of hits,application of main technology and special tactics used.In order to ensure the accuracy of the results,all technical and tactical classification have been independently confirmed by 3 specialists.The results show that:(1)Four fencers have distinct technical characteristics: Xu Anqi plays the main offensive role and is the main scoring force;Zhu Mingye uses comprehensive skills,but lacks personal expertise;Sun Yiwen played fewer games and did not give full play to the spikes.The characteristics of change and accuracy;Lin Sheng has strong defensive skills and uses more offensive techniques to attack;(2)Xu Anqi mainly focuses on counter-sword attack,and the other three have the highest direct attack scores with the highest points lost;The 3 gun-handle sword fencers have low counter-attack scoring rates;Zhu Mingye is good at using sixth and first defensive techniques to score,but the fourth defense has the highest score,and Lin Sheng’s second defense has the highest score and loss;(3)4 players have lose and win the highest scores in trunk position,followed by arms,legs,feet and heads with scores decreasing according;in the midfield area fencers have the highest losing and wining points,and their first area has the highest points;Xu Anqi has a net score in the midfield and opponents’ in the first area.There is no difference in the percentage of points won and lost between the three players;(4)Sun Yiwen has the highest percentage of tactics used in each other,followed by pressing and counterattack tactics;Xu Anqi has the highest scoring rate in pressing tactics.Conclusions and suggestions: In future training,we should focus on the athlete’s attack and defensive styles,strengthen individualized training,focus on the development of personal expertise and tactical style,increase the range of scoring parts and the use of scoring field areas,and improve the scoring ability of counter-attack techniques.
