The prosocial behavior is not only conducive to the maintenance of individual interpersonal relationships,but also conducive to promoting the harmonious development of society.The cultivation of prosocial behaviors of junior high school students in a critical period of development is more conducive to the stability of the country in the future.Studies have shown that although social norm promote prosocial behavior to a certain extent,the role of different types of social norm on prosocial behavior is still controversial.For example,although our country has formulated various injunctive norm on bad network behaviors in the hope of improving the network environment,the results have not been as expected.This may be due to the depletion of psychological resources and self-threatening by the normative information of injunctive norm.Studies have found that self-affirmation can reduce self-depletion and restore individual self-integrity,so selfaffirmation may enhance the influence of injunctive norm on prosocial behavior.Therefore,this study aims to verify the effectiveness of descriptive norm and injunctive norm on the prosocial behavior of junior high school students,and to explore the effects of self-affirmation in this process.The current research is divided into two parts.Research one uses dictator games to explore the influence of different social norm on the prosocial behaviors of junior high school students.The results found that the prosocial behaviors of junior high school students under descriptive norm are higher than those of junior high school students under injunctive norm.Research two has improved the effect of social norm on prosocial behavior through the experimental manipulation of self-affirmation to a certain extent,and found that after self-affirmation manipulation,the prosocial behavior of junior high school students under the two norms has improved.There is no difference between prosocial behaviors caused by injunctive norm and descriptive norm.Based on the above research results,it can be found that descriptive norm should be adopted in the cultivation of prosocial behavior of junior high school students.At the same time,slogans and regulations related to social norm should be considered to use the advantages of descriptive norm to urge junior high school students’ behaviors in order to achieve better results.In addition,this research provides a new way of thinking for schools and educators: if you want to promote the prosocial behavior of junior high school students,in addition to paying attention to the use of different social norms for education and publicity,students should also be guided to conduct their own values.Self-affirmation forms an inner virtuous circle and strengthens the positive influence of social norm on junior high school students.
