Secondary vocational education is an important part of vocational education in our country.In recent years,the state has vigorously promoted agriculture-related secondary vocational education through tuition fee reduction and other preferential policies.In this paper,the relationship between major choice and learning enthusiasm of agriculture-related secondary vocational students are explored.In order to optimize the quality of them and improve their learning enthusiasm,combined with the on-the-spot observation and investigation of education and teaching practice.This topic takes the agriculture-related majors of Lanzhou X Secondary Vocational School as the research object,and mainly adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaires,interviews,classroom observation and so on.Questionnaires were conducted on the factors affecting the professional choice of agriculture-related secondary vocational students and their degree of influence,and the learning enthusiasm of agriculture-related secondary vocational students was observed and measured.With the help of SPSS software and regression analysis,this paper analyzes the factors affecting the major selection of vocational students in agriculture-related secondary schools and the correlation between the degree of influence,the learning enthusiasm of students of different grades and majors,and the relationship between major choice and learning enthusiasm.This study shows that: 1.Parents’ attitude,personal interest,major identity and employment considerations have a significant impact on the major choice of agriculture-related secondary vocational students;2.The study enthusiasm of modern horticulture technology major is the highest,followed by landscape technology major,landscaping major,animal husbandry and veterinary major,and students of grade 2020;have the highest learning enthusiasm,followed by grades 2019 and 2018,respectively.3.Major selection is closely related to learning enthusiasm.Parents’ attitude,personal interest,professional identity,employment consideration and these four significant factors affecting the choice of majors impact on the learning enthusiasm of secondary vocational students involved in agriculture significantly.According to the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward some concrete and feasible suggestions on how to improve the learning enthusiasm of vocational students involved in agriculture from the point of view of school and family: 1.The school sets up "Campus Open Day" to provide parents and students with more professional information;2.The school develops the professional identity curriculum and permeates the professional identity education in the daily teaching;3.School-enterprise cooperation,regular professional sports activities to cultivate students’ interest in the major;4.The school invites outstanding alumni and related enterprises to come to the school for exchanges and carry out employment guidance education.
