In recent years,due to the multiple benefits,such as policies,scientific competition system,continuous influx of capital,and continuous escalation of people’s health demands,city marathons have seen an explosive rise.The city marathon is a key factor in promoting urban tourism,and it has become a must-have event in almost every city.With the vigorous development of city marathon events,the city marathon has already seen obvious insufficient innovation and homogenization.This kind of problem will also affect the sustainable development of city marathons in China.Based on this,this study will try to improve the city marathon event from the perspective of landscape quality of course to enhance the participants’ perception of the city’s image and revisit intention.Through reading the related literature of city marathon,track landscape quality,city image and revisit intention,based on the theory of landscape visual attraction,city image theory,cognitive emotion system theory,rational theory and attitude theory,this study wants to construct the “landscape quality of city marathon course-the image of the city-the revisit intention” theoretical model.Taking Shanghai Marathon participants as the research object to conduct investigation,this research uses correlation analysis,regression analysis and SPSS PROCESS macro program analysis to test the theoretical model.Finally,it analyzes and summarizes the results of this research,draws relevant conclusions,and puts forward suggestions and proposal for the landscape of city marathon track based on the landscape aesthetics theory.The main conclusions drawn from this research are:First,this research validates the model of "track landscape quality-city imagerevisit intention ",revealing the mechanism of action between the landscape quality of the city marathon track,the image of the city and the participants’ revisit intention.First of all,the quality of the course landscape has a significant positive impact on the image of the city and revisit intention.Secondly,the image of the city has a significant positive impact on the revisit intention,and it plays an intermediary role between the track landscape quality and revisit intention.Second,this research understands the preferences of city marathon participants for landscape elements.The three types of landscape elements: iconic landscape,historical and cultural landscape,and sign system,are more attractive to participants.Third,the landscape quality of the city marathon course has a significant positive impact on participants’ perception of the city image and its two dimensions,namely,the cognitive image of the city and the affective image of the city.Fourth,the landscape quality of city marathon course and the image of the city have a significant positive impact on the participants’ revisit intention.The cognitive image of the city also has a significant positive impact on the participants’ revisit intention,while the affective image of the city has no significant influence on the participants’ revisit intention.This may be mainly because the participants’ perception of the course’s landscape quality mainly corresponds to the cognition image of the city.To a certain extent,it is difficult for the participants’ feelings of course landscape quality to influence the revisit intention through the affective image of the city as an intermediary.Fifth,the image of the city(the cognitive image of the city)has a partial mediating effect between the city marathon course landscape and the participants’ revisit intention,and the city marathon course landscape plays a leading role in the indirect effect of the participants’ revisit intention.The research hypothesis model proposed in this study helps to establish the city marathon participants’ preference for the attraction elements of the landscape,and to understand the relationship and mechanism of the city marathon course landscape to the city’s image and revisit intention.In terms of realization,this research is based on theory and research analysis,combined with relevant theories in landscape architecture,and puts forward practical enlightenment,which provides practical guidance for the organizers of city marathon events in the future.
