——The Chain Mediating Effect Of Ethnic Psychological Distance And School Belonging | | Posted on:2022-05-18 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:M S Long | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2507306488972999 | Subject:Mental health education | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | This study aims to explore the relationship among ethnic identity,ethnic psychological distance,school belonging and subjective well-being among students in grade 4-6 primary school,and to investigate the intermediary role between ethnic psychological distance and school belonging feeling in ethnic identity and subjective well-being.In this study,three primary schools in a city of a province were selected,and1294 students in grade 4-6 were investigated.The ethnic identity scale,ethnic psychological distance scale,school belonging scale and subjective well-being scale were used to measure.Spss21.0 and process are used for data analysis.The results show that::(1)There are significant differences in grade of primary school students’ ethnic identity,school belonging,subjective well-being and ethnic psychological distance;there are differences in gender of primary school students’ school belonging and ethnic psychological distance;there are differences in school type of ethnic identity and school belonging;there are differences in whether the only child is the only child or not.(2)There is a positive correlation between ethnic identity and school belonging,ethnic psychological distance and subjective well-being(3)Ethnic psychological distance can positively predict school belonging,while school belonging can positively predict subjective well-being.Ethnic psychological distance has no significant effect on subjective well-being.(4)School belonging plays a partial mediating role in the influence of ethnic identity on students’ subjective well-being.(5)Ethnic psychological distance and school belonging play a chain mediating role in the influence of ethnic identity on subjective well-being. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Primary School Students, Ethnic identity, School belonging, Ethnic psychological distance, Subjective well-being | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
