With the in-depth development of economic globalization and the rapid update of science and technology,in order to promote the adaptability of talents to the times,in recent years,the training of talents has focused on improving students’ learning ability,practical ability,and innovation ability,and educating students to learn knowledge and skills.Use your hands and brains,learn to live a life,learn to behave and do things,and promote students to actively adapt to society.Emphasize that students apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems and continuously improve their problem-solving skills.The United States has proposed the "21st Century Learning Framework",and my country has issued the "Overall Framework for the Development of Chinese Students’ Core Literacy",which clearly emphasizes the problem-solving ability.It can be seen that problem-solving ability has become one of the abilities that individuals must possess to face unknown challenges.In terms of talent training,the problem-solving ability of students has become a requirement of the society for talents.In the context of educational reforms,STEM education breaks the traditional barriers of disciplines,with interdisciplinary as the core,and establishes multi-disciplinary connections,which is conducive to cultivating people with comprehensive development.Project-based teaching changes the traditional teaching-based teaching model,gives full play to the subjective role of students,encourages students to gain knowledge in the completion of tasks,and promotes collaboration among peers,which is conducive to mobilizing students’ learning enthusiasm.The STEM education concept is used in project teaching,which can make the learning situation more realistic,diversified and interesting,and can help learners to explore the project in a collaborative way,solve problems,and construct a knowledge structure in it.In the completion of the project,the ability to solve problems will be improved,which meets the needs of educational development.This research is carried out from two aspects of theory and practice.In terms of theory,on the basis of studying the characteristics of problem-solving ability,the problem-solving ability is decomposed,and the design focuses on theoretical and practical sub-goals,including information integration ability,clue extraction ability,evidence reasoning ability,opinion analysis ability,and collaborative inquiry Ability,reflection and improvement ability,problem generalization ability,practical innovation ability.On the basis of studying the characteristics of STEM education and project-based teaching,a STEM project design process is designed,including six stages of needs analysis,goal elaboration,theme determination,strategy design,task implementation,and evaluation promotion.Taking each sub-objective as the goal of each stage of STEM project implementation,the STEM project implementation process is designed,and the tasks of teachers,students,and peers in each stage are explained in detail.In terms of practice,take the "Network Practical Technology" course in higher vocational colleges as an example,and analyze the effect of the implementation through classroom observations,interviews,results,and questionnaires.The research shows that STEM project-based teaching is effective in cultivating students The problem-solving ability has a stimulating effect.
