With the continuous promotion of quality education,people gradually realize that other abilities besides cognitive ability,especially social emotional competence,play an important role in students’ personal development.The research shows that social emotional competence can help students learn to identify and manage emotions,build positive and good interpersonal relationships,better adapt to the social environment,and at the same time,it can effectively promote the improvement of students’ academic performance.Social and emotional learning courses can help to develop students’ social emotional competence and help students improve their academic performance.This study will explore the relationship between school social and emotional learning experience and academic achievement,and the intermediary role of social emotional competence between them.At the same time,the students were divided into the experimental group and the control group to study,the experimental group students to intervene in the social and emotional learning curriculum,to analyze whether the changes in the school social and emotional learning experience have an impact on the students’ academic and social emotional competence.The questionnaire of 1000 primary school students in N was investigated to obtain the current situation of social and emotional learning experience and social emotional competence of primary school students.Two classes in a primary school in N were set up as experimental group and control group.The experimental group was interfered with the social and emotional learning course,the control group was not treated,and the obtained data were analyzed and discussed.After the intervention,the students were interviewed deeply around their views,feelings and aspects of the social and emotion learning course.The results of this study show that:(1)Primary school social and emotional learning experience and social emotional competence in the middle level;(2)There are significant differences in the social and emotional learning experience of primary school students in grade and whether students are class committee members;(3)There is a significant positive correlation between school social emotional learning experience and academic achievement,there is a significant positive correlation between school social emotional learning experience and social emotional ability,and there is a significant positive correlation between social emotional ability and academic achievement;(4)There are two related relationships school among social and emotion learning experience,social emotion competence and academic achievement;(5)Social emotional competence plays a part of intermediary role between school social and emotional learning experience and academic achievement;(6)Through the intervention of social and emotional learning curriculum,the social and emotional learning experience of students’ schools has been increased,the students’ social emotional competence has increased effectively,and the students’ academic achievement has been improved effectively.After the interview,the students thought that the changes in interpersonal relationship,cooperative learning and recognition of themselves had an impact on academic achievement.Finally,according to the research results,the following five educational suggestions are put forward :1.Encourage schools to develop and build social and emotional learning courses.2.Create a positive and harmonious campus atmosphere for students.3.Pay attention to the gender differences of students’ emotional competence.4.Encourage students to actively participate in class management and construction.5.Create a good environment for residential students.
