| The construction of high quality education system is inseparable from the high quality education development of education in minority areas.On June 23,2019,the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the Opinions on Deepening Education and Teaching Reform and Comprehensively Improving the Quality of Compulsory Education,which put forward new requirements for the quality of education in the compulsory education stage.At present,although the development of compulsory education in minority areas has received various“weak compensation”,the improvement of this “weak compensation” does not promote the simultaneous improvement of the quality of compulsory education in minority areas.Junior high school is an important part of compulsory education.For some junior high school students,junior high school education may be the last stage of their school education.Taking care of the quality of junior high school education in ethnic minority areas and promoting the high quality development of junior high school education in ethnic minority areas is in essence to meeting people’s demands for fairer and higher quality education in ethnic minority areas.Based on this,from the perspective of student development quality,I choose S town,Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County,Hunan Province as the research point,and go to S town as an intern teacher for a two-month investigation.Questionnaire survey was conducted among 665 students and 81 teachers from 1 independent junior high school and 3 nine-year system schools(junior middle school)in S town,and structured and open interviews were conducted with principals,teachers,students and parents in S town.It is found that there are two major problems in the education quality of middle school in S town,namely,the imbalance of students’ academic performance and the insufficient development of students’ comprehensive quality.Further analysis shows that it is mainly affected by five factors:insufficient local economic support and cultural radiation,improper parental education input and upbringing style,insufficient allocation and ability of school administrators,unbalanced teacher structure and weak professional development,poor foundation of students and low self-identity.Combined with the development status of middle school education quality in S town,the optimization strategy is put forward.First,to promote the rationalization of the structure of school education expenditure;Second,to strengthen the home-school cooperation and give play to the home-school linkage education function;Third,standardize the school management system and create a good educational atmosphere;Fourthly,we should optimize the structure of teachers and enhance the overall quality of teachers. |
