| Well-being is an important index to measure students’ physical and mental health and all-round development,as well as an important index to reflect the quality of education.Since program for international student assessment(PISA)carried out at the turn of the century, the east Asian region, with its excellent academic performance is listed as one of the models of the education, but it has been negatively stereotyped as Use student happiness at the expense for higher academic performance, and being criticized of excessive study hours, drastic competition between students and low life satisfaction. This study analyzes the PISA2015 and PISA2018 evaluation frameworks of subjective well-being and indicators in student well-being,campus layout, and offcampus environment, and compares the current status and influencing factors of student happiness in East Asian cultural circle countries and regions.According to the research, the results show that there are commonalities in East Asian cultural circle countries and regions, such as low life satisfaction, low life meaning, high negative emotions, low self-efficacy,high fear of failure, and a lower number of students with a growth mentality.Well-being is also closely related to the individual factors of students. There are gender differences, socioeconomic differences and school differences, and these different factors will also affect students’ academic performance.Although East Asia as a whole shows obvious cultural differences when compared with other countries in the world, there are also national and regional differences within East Asia, which need to be viewed dialectically. Finally, this research puts forward suggestions based on the characteristics of students’ happiness in East Asian cultural circle countries and regions, and that multiple parties should work together to improve students’ well-being. |
