For-profit private higher education institutions in the United States are the most representative in the world,and Australian for-profit private higher education institutions have also referred to many relevant experiences in the United States in the development process.The development of for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia has gone through different periods.In the development process of the two schools,there are similarities in the purpose of fund creation,development model,professional setting,and the federal government and state government;there is the existence of fund raising,student sources,course selection methods,school system,internal management system and school running mode.difference.Nowadays,for-profit private colleges and universities have become a hot issue in society.This article compares the similarities and differences in the development process of for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia.It can enable us to fully understand the status of foreign for-profit private higher education institutions,and summarize and extract the value suitable for today’s for-profit private higher education institutions in my country.The lessons learned will provide some suggestions worthy of reference for the future development of for-profit private colleges and universities in my country.The first part of the thesis is the introduction,expounding the source of the thesis,stating the relevant literature on the for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia,and explaining the research purpose and significance of the thesis,research methods and ideas.The second part of the thesis describes the development of for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia.The third part of the thesis elaborated on the for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia.The similarity in the development process,the similarity is reflected in the purpose of founding,the development model,the professional setting and the role of the federal government and the state government.The fourth part of the thesis expounds the differences between profit-making private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia.The differences are mainly reflected in fund raising,student sources,course selection methods,school system,internal management system and school running mode.In the fifth part of the thesis,after understanding the commonalities and characteristics of for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia,it expounds the problems existing in my country’s for-profit private higher education institutions.The sixth part of the thesis expounds the suggestions for for-profit private colleges and universities in our country.This study uses comparative research methods and literature analysis methods to gain an in-depth understanding of for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australian for-profit private higher education institutions.Combining the situation of for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia,we can understand the development status of for-profit private higher education institutions.By comparing the similarities and differences between the for-profit private higher education institutions in the United States and Australia in the development process,and the advantages of the two in the development process,we can find out the content that is worth learning from the for-profit private colleges in my country,and it is important for the for-profit private colleges in China.Problems in the development process and provide reference suggestions.
