Children’s painting is a kind of cognitive and emotional expression of children to the world.Painting plays an important role in children’s development. In recent years, special children and their education have been paid more and more attention by the state and society. In order to better promote the development of special children, the differences between the development of special children and ordinary children have also attracted the attention and exploration of educators. However, after combing the relevant research on the comparison of special and ordinary children’s painting,it is found that at present, there are few studies on this aspect at home and abroad.Through the comparative study of 5-6-year-old general and special children’s scene painting,it is helpful to correct the special children’s use of painting and provide theoretical basis for special children’s education. This study takes "my family" as the theme of painting, and based on the collected scene painting works of 60 ordinary and special children aged 5-6 years, makes a detailed comparative analysis of them from the content and form of painting by using the method of work analysis and interview,so as to further explore the differences between the two scene paintings. The results show that,on the whole, the general children are better than the special children in the richness of scene painting content, and the difference is more significant. In the form of scene painting, there are significant differences between ordinary children and special children in modeling accuracy, composition integrity and color richness.Ordinary children are better than special children. However, there is no significant difference between the two types of children in the differentiation and relative size of the characters.
