At present,the inter-generational education model has become the mainstream of family education in urban China.However,due to the rapid transformation of China’s economic and social development,the old people born in the 1960 s and 1970 s have limited grasp of modern scientific and technological means.Subject to this,the scientific and modern childcare level is low,and the vast majority of inter-generational parents in Chinese cities show a series of problems such as insufficient social support and lagging comprehensive education ability.Inter-generational parents in urban communities have more needs in learning knowledge and making friends.They hope to improve their modern childcare ability through various forces from the community and society.From the perspective of social support theory,it is believed that every service object has available resources around it and can help individuals in difficulties solve problems through the links between various social resources.From the Angle of informal support,busy children and the elderly,the lack of social participation,which cost a lot of time and effort of the elderly in family life is hard to get family and peer group spiritual comfort,not conducive to the old man get knowledge and information from the outside at the same time,makes it hard for informal support,informal support system can not play a role.From the perspective of formal support,grandparents have few opportunities to learn and communicate in the community and other environments,and the services that can be provided to grandparents in the community are far from enough to meet their needs and cannot get adequate formal support.Group work has the function of providing learning and making friends platform for service objects and linking social resources to provide social support.It can help inter-generational parents establish a complete social support network by carrying out a series of activities in line with their needs,so that the formal support system and informal support system can play a role.Therefore,the effective intervention method to help solve the dilemma of generational separation education for the elderly in urban areas should be the group with social support mode to build a platform for mutual help,so as to gradually form a long-term social support network and realize the group members’ help and self-help.To achieve the purpose of long-term social support system to build my parents age,in the process of group intervention,in a variety of types of rich content,realize the interaction between the team’s members interaction,communication,interaction,two generations of parents to set up grandparents’ long informal support networks,and with the communities secretary,residents’ committees,the joint efforts of the staff to provide a formal social support.Finally through the interview feedback and involvement in the evaluation,the results show that grandparent long a considerable improvement of level of social support and overall level of education have made significant progress,more positive mental outlook,can draw the conclusion: through group work method for the elderly in the community to build social support,make the formal and informal support system play a positive role,can widen for help in the process of the elderly in every generation education channels,improve the social participation,to find the right outlet pressure,thus comprehensively improve their overall and parenting skills.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions: communities and social organizations should pay more attention to the parents of the inter-generational parents;From the macro level,the top-level design of the public,social organizations and the government should pay more attention to the status quo and needs of children’s family education and care,and the education of the elderly across generations.It is necessary to improve the comprehensive quality of social workers and improve the professional training of social workers for the elderly project.Parents should still be the main charge of family education.
