Research On Strengthening Patriotism Education Of Xinjiang College Students In The New Era

Patriotism is the core spirit of the Chinese nation.It is also a powerful spiritual driving force that unites hundreds of millions of our compatriots to forge the great cause of our times.In November 2019,China issued the "Implementation Outline of Patriotic Education in the New Era",it is pointed out that in the new era we must vigorously promote and cultivate the patriotism spirit,conduct patriotism education through every stage of the national education.College students,as the intermediate force of social development,are the important targets of patriotism education.For a long time,the anti-China forces in the West led by the United States,have resorted to the strategy of using Xinjiang to control China and using terrorism to contain China in order to split and infiltrate Xinjiang.Especially in recent years,the "three forces" have brought severe challenges to the patriotism education of college students in Xinjiang by distorting the history of Xinjiang and advocating religious extremism and ethnic separatism.In September 2020,the CPC Central Committee held the Third Central Symposium on the Work of Xinjiang to analyze the historical opportunities and development prospects Xinjiang is facing.Under the background of complex international,regional backgrounds and national conditions,strengthening the patriotic education research of college students in Xinjiang is not only the inevitable requirement of safeguarding national security,but also serving national construction and development.The practical requirement of building Xinjiang with Chinese characteristics in the new era is also the internal requirement of promoting college students to grow up and become talents,which has important theoretical and practical significance.The thesis is divided into five parts.The introduction part introduces the background and significance of the research on strengthening the patriotism education of college students in Xinjiang in the new era,summarizes the research status of scholars at home and abroad,and introduces the research ideas and innovations of this paper.The second part explains and defines the concepts of the new era,patriotism and patriotism education,as well as the relationship between the new era and patriotism education.It also analyzes the urgency and significance of patriotism education for college students in Xinjiang.The third part discusses the importance of strengthening the patriotism education of college students in Xinjiang in the new era.The fourth part induces and summarizes the present situation of Xinjiang college students’ patriotism education in the new era and analyzes the reasons of problems.The fifth part puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to strengthen the patriotism education of Xinjiang college students in the new era,which provides reference for Xinjiang colleges and universities to strengthen the patriotism education.
